Meet Lord Malvern
Lord Malvern (number 10625) is an Aveling & Porter F type roller. This lovely old roller was first built in 1923, weighing in at 10 tonnes & 6nhp.
Lord Malvern joined W.W. Buncombe’s iconic fleet as number 88, serving it's working life as a general purpose road rolling engine. Currently residing at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire, the roller is under the ownership of Tim Hayter, and is now ready to run under it’s own steam for the first time in over a decade.
Tim's niece, Sophie Hayter and her partner Ben Collard alongside Tim, have dedicated their spare time to make sure Lord Malvern arrives back onto the rally field in top condition, although Sophie tells us there is still plenty of work to be done.
