An Orange Welcome

Located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, Orange County is located between the Research Triangle Park and the Triad. With more than 150,000 residents, Orange County includes historic Hillsborough, the county seat; Chapel Hill, Carrboro, a portion of Mebane and other smaller communities.

Orange County was founded in 1752, and today much of the county remains rural with numerous working farms, many of which have diversified their offerings. Some include the Cedar Grove Blueberry Farm, Boxcarr Farms Handmade Cheese in Cedar Grove and the McAdams Farm in Efland known for their pick-your-own strawberries.

Cedar Creek Farm is home to McKee’s Cornfield Maze, a Fall annual tradition. The farm in Rougemont is surrounded by farm fields, flowers and a tree canopy where you can relax and enjoy your event. Starting in 2024 with the addition of a new Pavilion, the farm will hold corporate events, birthday parties, family reunions, bridal or baby showers, weddings and more. mckeecornfieldmaze.com

Orange County is home to Merry Hill Hemp Farm, a licensed hemp producer offering America’s first Pick Your Own Hemp season on a certified century farm. Find sun grown, organic CBD cannabis and oils. Pick Your Own is September/October.
