Word from the President The reason behind the launch of the Injaz program is to enable young people to learn how to put theory into practice and to understand what entrepreneurship is about. These programs have been proven worldwide; Injaz Tunisia is a member of the regional network Injaz Al Arab and of the global network Junior Achievement Worldwide. The goal is, at an early stage, to develop in Tunisian youth, a sense of initiative, the willingness to be entrepreneurial and the key skills that young people require to operate in a knowledge-based society. In Tunisia, salaried employment is no longer able to secure the future for the number of young people graduating annually from the various systems of education and training because the structures of public and private employment are no longer able to absorb the majority of these graduates. It is therefore essential to help young graduates develop early skills enabling them to rely on themselves more, to better face the new conditions of life, and be active in the creation of wealth. In so doing, students gain self-confidence and motivation, become proactive and learn to work as a team. This is an important investment in the future of Tunisia. Since its launch, Injaz Tunisia has been committed to an active role Contributing to progress for our country. Thanks to the commitment of its partners and sponsors and to the engagement of experienced volunteer managers, many thousands of young students have been trained. For many of them, Injaz programs could even provide a new direction for their life. The ultimate goal is a more innovative, entrepreneurial Tunisia that is competitive on the world stage. Our approach At Injaz Tunisia, our belief is that we need to engage young people, early in their education. we stimulate them to take initiative and develop their sense of responsibility. We therefore choose to favor partnerships between the education sector and the private sector by providing complementary training programs relating to the field of Entrepreneurship, Finance and professional world at secondary schools professional training centers and univertsities. programs are conducted by senior volunteers from the private sector to establish concrete understanding of the day-to-day realities that businesses experience.

Amélie Nothomb To achieve this, Injaz Tunisia adopts a collective approach which combines case studies, role plays, brainstorming and teamwork exercises as well as practical training. Volunteer executives enable students discover aspects of the business world through the development of concrete projects and the use of simulations to monitor them. For one to two hours a week, volunteers share lessons learned from their personal experiences as entrepreneurs or executives. These exchanges focus on the subjects of Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resources, Ethics, Citizenship and Leadership.
COMPANY PROGRAM «Company Program» is designed to support young people in creating and managing small businesses with real development opportunities. As part of this 12 to 16 sessions-program, students and professional trainees develop a feasibility study and a business plan of a real project. They are made aware of the requirements of modern enterprises while benefiting from the expertise of experienced volunteers. Once the «junior enterprise» is established, students begin, under the supervision of the volunteer and the teacher, the production and marketing before liquidating the company at the end of the program. National and international competitions are held annually to reward the best projects undertaken by students as part of this program. and education review the management reports prepared by students and question them on different aspects related to their projects.
BANKS IN ACTION This program aims to train students in the world of banking operations as well as to provide them with the required competencies in this field.
Students have access to a software that allows them to conduct virtual banking transactions. The program is not limited only to banking principles, but also encourages students to become informed consumers. National competitions are held annually to reward the best management reports prepared by students as part of this program.
SUCCESS SKILLS This program aims to develop self-assessment skills amongst young people and help them identify their own talents. It is conducted by volunteers, using simulation exercises (games, case studies, teamwork, etc...). It aims to prepare students for the professional world.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP MASTERCLASS This program aims to invite students and trainees, for a full training day, to create a small business and identify the key skills required to become a real entrepreneur. Students receive a simple documentation relating to the creation of a mini-company that will be performed in groups.
INNOVATION CAMP Innovation Camp is an intensive 5-hour workshop bringing together 80-100 students to provide a solution for a given business problem. This workshop provides an exciting and educative challenge for participants, as they work with limited access to tools, limited time and no previous knowledge of each other’s skills.

My participation in this first competition organized by Injaz Tunisia was a moment of delight, a moment of discovery and hope. Indeed, competing projects presented original ideas, showed the initiative of young people full of energy and motivation, and demonstrated excellent leadership, teamwork and communication skills. Congratulations to Injaz Tunisia for adopting the strategic mission to inspire and instill in young people leadership and corporate values. I sincerely believe that the bet is won. We must not forget that if some countries are known for their entrepreneurial spirit, it is not by coincidence. The more we discover early, the better we manage. This is why the promotion of an entrepreneurial culture should occur throughout course of education, if we want to justify the term «culture» as a collective programming of the mind. That’s why we should not lose sight that project teaching practices are nothing new, but they were unfortunately ignored by our teachers. But the lessons of Freinet that aimed to the «integral» development of children, those of John Dewey, with his famous «Learning by doing», or Jean Piaget with his project-based teaching are more than ever topical. I therefore propose that the «Injaz spirit” invests in all schools; through educational projects relating to conventional
activities either through the sale of products of craft workshops, during the end-year season at fun fair, at theater performances or at sporting events, and that these activities could serve the joint goals that would promote a civic and arts education. In addition, money raised would be used to improve the school environment and working conditions of students and would fund common activities such as cultural outings... Thus, these activities in the field of authentic active teaching would be the opportunities to teach young people how to use money without becoming enslaved, to develop a spirit of solidarity, to educate citizenship while fostering creativity and to learn how to be useful. I therefore call for the creation of these associations among school structures, through easy and diverse activities, to be a link that prepares and facilitates the intervention of Injaz. Long live INJAZ and my best wishes for success!

When Meriam, a student at graphic Arts Training Center, presented this idea, the whole class was skeptical and, I must admit, I was too. Starting a business raising capital, launching a marketing study, developing products, organizing events, generating profits, etc... And all that in 3 months! I must admit that it is really a challenge ... a challenge that has been achieved. Meriam, Ahmed, Essia, Shaima, Hamda, Aziza, Lamia, ... all these young people have established a company «Exclusive Events» that made them happy and, above all, proud, for 3 months ... A company that provides a bridge between their Training Center and the professional community through the creation of the first professional guide (Tawassol), the organization of an exhibition/sale at an open house for their training center, etc. .. Best of all: these young people have managed to represent Tunisia at a regional competition in Beirut presenting and defending their project at the High School of Business in front of a variety of business leaders and Arab businessmen. Needless to say, the experience of following this young group has been a very rich experience for me. Being a Volunteer for Injaz allows a person, in my opinion, to be aware of his actual capabilities and professional affinities and to actively contribute to the achievement of a project. Beyond the spirit of entrepreneurship, several skills can be acquired through Injaz’ modules: teamwork, leadership, courage, solidarity, planning, values, strategy, analytical skills, active listening, etc... Down the road, a feeling whose value is very precious: the pride to have successfully completed a project ... and it is exactly at this point that the adventure begins!

They are backing us José Manual Barroso President of the European commission The publication of 2006 Annual Report «Junior Achievement Europe” allows me to underline the importance of the spirit of enterprise in life conditions, learning and working of all European citizens today and tomorrow. The Council of Europe and the European Parliament adopted a recommendation at the end of 2006 on key competences for lifelong learning. It identifies eight key skills that young people should develop in order to evolve in a knowledge society. Entrepreneurship is one of those skills. It includes creativity, innovation and ability to plan, conduct and evaluate projects and processes, alone or in collaboration with others. These are skills that support self-realization on the social and professional level. The Council of Europe, held in spring 2006, confirmed the need to strengthen education through entrepreneurship training. Schools need support to make entrepreneurship a reality for students and I commend Junior Achievement for its successful programs in this field. They provide schools with concrete programs that allow students to learn how to put theory into practice and understand the meaning of entrepreneurship. In doing so, students gain self-confidence and motivation, they become proactive and learn to work as a team. This is an important investment for the future of Europe.
