About Regus

Mark Dixon, CEO, Regus plc

1000 locations. 450 cities. 75 countries.

The way we do business is evolving. How and where you work fundamentally affects productivity, the influence of your competition and ultimately the financial health of your business. Regus aims to provide every business with the best possible workplace and support tools needed to thrive. In fact we want to be the benchmark against which you judge other providers.

Welcome to the Future Changing the way business works

Welcome to the Future

Welcome to the Future

Welcome to Regus.

The Workplace of the Future.

Over the years there has been a dramatic change in the way people work, that has seen the idea of a traditional office become a lot more limiting. It’s no longer the case that the same four walls and a door fit everyone. We at Regus truly believe there is a better way – one that makes it easier and more cost effective for all businesses to have the right place to work from both now and in the future.

Making it easier

Gone are the days of a long-term lease, the hassles of having to set everything up yourself, expensive rent and highly inflexible lease terms. We’re challenging the business world to think of a different, more simple way to have an office – a place you can move into and have everything you need waiting for you at a fraction of the cost of doing it yourself. Welcome to Regus and the future of work.

Regus business centres are the answer to the problems of the entrepreneur doing business in today’s environment. As a start-up entrepreneur, you have the ideas and the creativity, but you don’t have the premises or the money to buy them. Regus offers you the premises where you can make your ideas happen.

There are many things to consider when opening your first office or moving from an existing location. Regus takes away a lot of these headaches, delivering a more straightforward, complete and well thought through way of doing things, while at the same time, providing you first class services and facilities.

Giving you flexibility Business changes, plans change, people change and economies change. So why put up with something in your business that restricts your ability to adapt to these changes? Having an office the old way, simply locks you in. With Regus, not only are your agreement terms flexible but so are your choices. You can upsize or downsize your office as your needs dictate, even having the opportunity to change your mind about your office location and move anywhere within the Regus network with no hassle and no penalty.

Providing you choice With Regus, you don’t have to settle for second best. We pride ourselves on offering the widest choice to our customers. Choice in the type of product that best suits how and where you want to work as well as the greatest choice of locations, ranging from some of the best addresses in town to some of the most convenient – right by your home or right next to your customers.

Welcome to the Future

Welcome to the Future

Going beyond the office.

Companies big and small are making the switch.

Our range of products and services extends beyond that of just an easier way to have an office. We’ve developed products to support you and your business to work from home or on the move. All of them based on ensuring you get the support and professional facilities that you need as a business at home or out on the road.

Starting a business with Regus

Every day more and more businesses turn to solutions like ours to give them a much more flexible way of working and with the advent of mobile technology, being out of the office but still working effectively is commonplace. Working from home has become less the exception and more the rule for many companies or businesses starting out. We continue to develop new and more innovative ways of providing businesses like yours with flexible, more convenient and affordable places to work no matter where you are. Whether in the office, at home or on the move, any Regus location can provide you with a level of unrivalled support that even the very best office building could. However you like to work, our simple values remain core to the service we provide in any of our locations – whether it’s one around the corner or on the other side of the world: n

A place to touchdown, shut the door and get some work done

n

Somewhere to meet with colleagues or clients in a businesslike environment

n

Access to a professional, fully trained support team

Regus has revolutionised the way I work. Their network of business centres provides me with the facilities I need to successfully run my business.

Thousands of companies open up with Regus every month, in fact some of the world’s largest companies started with us. Put simply, you avoid all the headaches that everyone else gets when it comes to trying to figure out a place to work from. More importantly, the vital capital you need in your business doesn’t get wasted in a long-term office lease.

Growing companies and Regus Who needs to be tied down when you’re shooting for the stars! Whether it’s your first office, moving to your next or opening abroad, we can provide you unrivalled flexibility and world class facilities at rates to suit your budget. You stay focused on your business while we support you in the background, ensuring where you work runs smoothly and providing all the support you need. As things change, we will too, so that as a growing business you can be as flexible as you need to be.

Large Corporations partnering with Regus Some of the largest companies in the world utilise the Regus portfolio of locations and services to keep a certain percentage of their own property portfolio flexible. For project offices or satellite teams, our network provides the ability to instantly open in any market and keep overheads and property investment low. Our Enterprise Solutions concept takes our complete product range and creates a bespoke solution to support any planned shift in working practices or any size of team, conveniently combining home, mobile and office solutions for a more efficient, productive and cost effective way to manage their workplace portfolio.

We can make one call to Regus for the tools to do business; phone, fax, office support, and conference rooms are great value-added services to us. The time it could take for each person to set up a working office under ordinary conditions would be a distraction to our core business. Tom Sass, Senior VP of Operations, KMG America

Offices

Offices

Offices – more than just a place to work.

Set up with everything you need.

Our office products have been created in response to a growing dissatisfaction with the “traditional” way to rent an office. Long leases, substantial initial and ongoing investment, untenable business disruption and heavy management time has given way to more flexible and cost-effective ways to “office” and we are leading this change.

Our offices are much more than simply places to work. Professional environments, high-quality amenities and outstanding business support are all standard, giving businesses the perfect setting to work and prosper.

Only Regus allows you to change your mind.

All of our clients, large or small, long established or start-up, have two things in common – the need for a convenient yet professional place to work, and the reluctance to pay for empty space or facilities they don’t use. Therefore the basic proposition of our office product is straightforward: we offer the right amount of space and facilities for the exact length of time needed.

The unique flexibility to relocate your office, whenever you need to, without fuss or penalty.

Our clients deserve to work in environments designed and fitted to the highest of specifications, with interiors that impress their visitors and help them attract new employees. We invest in every detail, large and small, as we know this is what it takes to make the difference – from lighting to carpets, framed artwork to common area equipment.

Delivering more for your money

However, none of this comes at a premium. Our global procurement teams work with an international community of vendors to secure the best possible price for furnishings, equipment and services so that we are, in fact, able to offer the most competitive prices to our clients.

We needed instant availability on flexible terms, a prestigious location and high quality offices that were in keeping with our own quality image. We looked at a number of buildings and providers, but nothing came close to the Regus proposition.

Meeting venues State-of-the-art meeting, training and boardrooms at each location, many with video communications facilities Leading-edge IT and telecoms Continually maintained and upgraded, including high-speed internet access, Local Area Networks and Plug and Play connectivity

Offices

Corporate Campus – a cost-effective, group working environment. Avoid paying for desks or space that aren’t getting used and create a drop-in working environment dedicated to your company, perfect for more transient teams. Rather than the traditional idea of a full time desk per person, your office can be set up with enough desks for the amount of people present on any given day – somewhere for them to work but not their permanent desk. It’s a true “hotdesk” solution.

Disaster Recovery – planning for the unexpected. It’s vital that you keep your business in business, regardless of the circumstances. With Regus, you have a partner who can provide you with the working environment, communications technology and support services to minimise interruptions to your business, caused by a facilities failure, workplace disturbance or a building emergency.

Our Team

Our Team

Delivering a world-class business service through first-class people. We pride ourselves on having a reputation for attracting and retaining exceptional people – people who are success-orientated, spirited and driven to help others and themselves achieve more. Our customers tell us that our teams are our greatest assets, so it’s vital that we continue to attract top performers and nurture their careers.

Our team is your team The teams that support your business day-to-day are the lynchpin of our organisation. Centre Managers, Operations Managers and Customer Services Representatives – who all clearly demonstrate the Regus spirit of innovation and customer-centric values – are all ready to go the extra mile. Centre Manager The Centre Manager manages the operational and front line teams in each location and is responsible for exceeding the expectations of our clients every day. Their commercial understanding, business acumen and knowledge of the local market make them a valuable asset to Regus and a useful contact for our clients. Operations Manager The smooth running of each location is the primary concern of every Operations Manager. From the IT and telecoms system to mail sorting and staffing, Operations Managers ensure that everything is carried out to exacting standards and always has the clients’ needs at heart.

Developing our most important assets. Every single team member receives a tailored training programme designed to meet their individual needs. Intensive induction programmes Centre teams take part in a three-week induction process with an assigned field coach to begin their first phase of on the job training. School of Excellence – helping our people achieve more Our teams regularly attend our long established School of Excellence, designed to improve customer service and communication skills and provide the latest thinking in how to manage business innovations at centre level. Continuous training and development Further training opportunities, tailored to an individual’s needs, are available in customer service, operations and sales management via our dedicated training time and the Regus On-Line Learning Institute (ROLI).

Because our people are at the heart of our business, it is vital that they are trained to the highest competency. We provide a career path designed to allow individuals to achieve their very best within Regus, whether they choose to stay close to home, or aspire to take advantage of our international locations. When our team members go beyond their normal duty and deliver exceptional service or results, they are formally recognised and rewarded, both on a regional and global level. Regions also run a Long Service Award programme, to recognise the continued and sustained commitment of our people to our company. Personal letters of merit from a line manager, the CEO or the board, to celebrate excellence are also an example of our approach to rewarding our people.

A strong commitment to equal opportunities We recognise that the provision of equal opportunities and diversity in the workplace is not only good management practice, but it also makes sound business sense. Regus opposes all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination and we have full board support to ensure that our policy to provide employment equality is strictly adhered to – irrespective of gender, marital or family status, religious belief or political opinion, disability, race or ethnic origin, nationality, sexual orientation and age.

Customer Service Representative At the front line of our customer service team, our Customer Service Representatives provide a single point of contact for all client services. Responsible for guest welcomes, phone answering and business services, our Customer Service Representatives Team worldwide, are an extension of all of our clients’ teams.

Five key principles underpin our mission and characterise our success. These have been fundamental in our unique approach to our business and that of our clients.

In 1989 Regus CEO, Mark Dixon, was in a hotel in Brussels. He saw that executives were using hotels as a temporary office. Mark saw an opportunity to create more professional environments to support mobile working. This ethos of innovation is at the heart of our business. We are firmly dedicated to not simply meeting the demands of modern companies, but setting new standards in efficient, workplace solutions.

Giving Back

Giving Back

Regus and our clients jointly supporting local communities.

Joint environmental responsibilities.

We believe that every business has a duty towards the local communities in which they operate. Through active involvement and contributions by our staff, clients and partners, Regus raises money which is then distributed annually to nominated charities in every location. This ensures that our policy of ‘acting globally, but thinking locally’ is met.

The way people work can have a dramatic effect on the environment, and Regus is acutely aware of this. Accordingly, we have developed company-wide policies on environmental issues which have set new industry standards. For example, before we acquire property or explore a business partnership, we always assess the impact the project would have on the environment.

As a Regus customer, there are many charity fund raising events for you to take part in, from a testing triathlon in support of Make-A-Wish foundation to Jeans for Genes Day raising money for the DebRA charity. There are many events taking place in our locations each year. Keep an eye out for the next opportunity to get involved... are you ready to do your bit and give a little back?

Donating facilities and space Where possible, support is also given to our chosen charities through the provision of space free-of-charge, either for administrative purposes or fundraising events. Pajama Party, a charity devoted to providing clothes to underprivileged children, benefitted in this way. Facing a crisis in being unable to re-house their operations team at short notice, space was offered in one of our downtown centres in New York. The team at the Regus business centre in Warrenville in suburban Chicago recently donated furniture to the Autism Training Center at Giant Steps, Illinois. The organisation had just leased a 70,000 square foot facility nearby and had no budget to furnish the space.

Working towards a greener environment Each of our locations operate a recycling and energy waste reduction policy. We liaise closely with property owners and our clients to ensure that any recyclable waste from our operations – from waste paper to print and toner cartridges – is collected and recycled. By encouraging our clients to recycle just 30% of their waste paper, 177 tonnes of recycled material a year can be produced. We aim to ensure that the furniture and fittings in your office are made from sustainable sources and as we only use suppliers who are energy-efficient and green, that means so do you. Also, wherever possible, we ensure that lighting, heating and air conditioning meet energy conservation standards, and that non-core items or equipment are timed to switch off automatically.

You’re helping the planet just by being here... keep up the good work!

These are just a couple of examples of the way Regus continues to support the communities in which we work and implement our social responsibilities.
