ABOUT ME Hello !
My name is Chris, a Malaysian-born Chinese. I was born and raised in a historical city which is called Georgetown in Penang. Fortunately, my thirst for knowledge did not come to an end when I was at school. I was passionate about architecture and interior design. This passion helped me gain profound knowledge in these areas, and I was admitted to the college of my dreams. I studied interior design in Taiwan, and currently working as a junior interior designer. I'm a hardworking person, a fast learner, and a quite well independent guy who spent 5 years in abroad. I have been traveled to many countries as well as being selected in an exchange student program to Denmark. I love making friends and a person who easily get into a new environment. I am a big fan of Architecture and Interior Design, with 2 years of experience in Interior Design, who always seek for new challenges and experience to expand my potential in design. I believe my ability to see the balance between creativity and practicality will make me a valuable asset in a company.

Integrated Design
This is an old residential building which carrying a high histrorical value located in a residential area - TianMu district in Taipei City. Due to its location, surrouded with luxury residences, shopping malls, public parks and international schools. I decided to create a huge comparison between a modern interior design and its’ originally old shell, to maintain its’ historical core value.

DESIGN METHOD
Wine represent an identity of luxury, an exotic life. Most adults love to collect them as well as drinking wine has turned into their daily routine, a social business activity. Yet in this modern era, according to some reports, the major consumer of wines had became more younger as many teenagers are wine collectors too. This shoplot located in the center of Taichung, surrounded with luxury residential. In fact, I try to create a modern atmosphere with contemporary design with white as the major color accompanied with woody materials and LED lights to attract people’s eye.
White coated wooden board Stainless steel
Common teak Grey pandomo

Red for exotic wine
Blue for luxury wine
White for normal wine
I try to use only 3 different colors to differentiate wines, as I would like to keep the whole space feel simple and clean.

DETAIL DESIGN
MACRO - TASTEBUDS MARKET & SOCIAL KITCHEN YEAR 4 FINAL PROJECT DESIGN TOOLS: AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Vray, Illustrator, Photoshop
It is a project to reform and recreating an old market in Taichung ciy. This market was once as a shopping hub of the western district of Taichung, but after so many years, it has been ‘abondoned’ by the people and the city. I try to recreate a brand new market without knocking out the original architecture which is look like a big square, but try to reform it in my way according to its’ own historical background and the environment. We can find out that most of the dishes are made up with a main subject and accompanied with spices. Then, to differentiate those hundreds type of dishes, there is a hundreds way about the combination of foods and spices. The gradation, penetration of taste about spices is the main subject to study in this projects, and to figure out a solution to bring it into the space to recreating a brand new market space.

i-PARK 佳成公園 RESIDENTIAL DESIGN LOCATION : TAICHUNG CITY WORKING PROJECT
This is a luxury condominum which is located in Taiping district of Taichung city. This project was my first project when I first step into Chang-Ju design firm as an assistant designer. I was being arranged to work with a senior designer and being assigned to design and working on most of the elevation and details about this project. I have learned a lot about detail designs, the combination of materials, and getting more knowledge about construction during this projects.

The owner loves woody materials and also a huge fan of tea arts. We try to create a contemporary space with various combination of materials, and remain the warm colour tone. Surrounding with woody elements with white as the backgroud colour.

泊心.博星 RESIDENTIAL DESIGN LOCATION : TAICHUNG CITY WORKING PROJECT
This is a 4 storey residential which is located in Taichung. But the owner would like to renovate just 1st floor and the master bedroom in 3rd floor. They wished to have a clean and simplicity spcae such as the Scandinavian, yet with some industrial interior designs including in it. Although it sounds totally differrent but I would consider it as a real challenge for me. During the work, I have learnt a lot about some specific materials mostly about their features and characteristics. Meanwhile, furniture design was becoming a main subject to think about as how to arrange it in the space. We tried to remain some of the origianl concrete surface, especially the main TV wall of the living area with a huge white art stone wall at the back. The flooring are made up with pandomo. The living room and dining/kitchen area are linked, surrounding with only three main colour tone, such as: white, black, and brown-ish furnitures. The master bedroom and master washroom are seperated by a magnificient glassy wall which is made by glass bricks. White art stone for the TV wall and there is a short concrete wall at the back of the bed to create space for reading area.
