F L O AT G L A S S Float glass is a sheet of glass made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten metal, typically tin, although lead and other various low-melting-point alloys were used in the past. LOW I RO N G L A S S Low-iron glass is used for aquariums, display cases, some windows, and other applications where clarity is desired.
