INTRODUCTION HISTORY OF MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL


A tale of Chang E and Hou Yi It is said that in ancient times, ten suns existed and the extreme heat made people's lives very difficult. Hou Yi met Wangmu which presented him an elixir to become a god but Hou Yi gives to his

beloved Chang E to

keep. Chang E swallowed the elixir to protect Peng Meng on getting it.


The moment when Chang E swallowed the elixir she flew up in the sky. Chang E's great love for her husband drew her towards the Moon with her rabbit pet.
