A LETTER FROM THE Executive Director

Dear IHSA members, coaches, parents, sponsors, supporters and friends,

Congratulations to all the riders and teams who have navigated the regular season and competitive post-season to earn the opportunity to compete here at the IHSA Nationals. We are thrilled to welcome teams from all over North America to the Kentucky Horse Park.

Riders, you should be proud of your accomplishments and I encourage you to take this opportunity to introduce yourselves to your fellow competitors on other teams. You will discover that we all share a common bond of the love of horses and equestrian sport and are all dedicated to good sportsmanship.

The IHSA and this event would not be successful without the army of volunteers working year-round to ensure everything comes together. Our volunteer board of directors works with steadfast dedication to the mission of the IHSA. We are so grateful for their significant contributions of time and expertise.

Thank you to all the schools and individuals providing horses for Nationals because competition would not be possible without them. Members, please take the time to thank our horse providers. Make sure to thank the horse you ride with a pat and remember, that provider is rooting for their horse, even if you are on opposing teams!

We are grateful to our sponsors, particularly the ones that have come on recently and at high levels, especially, Back on Track and CWD. Likewise, IHSA individual competitors and teams are grateful for the commitment to recognize their accomplishments. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationships in the future.

Many thanks to our equestrian community and the governing bodies that support our mission to provide equestrian opportunities to college students of all walks of life and all levels - USHJA, NRHA, AQHA, APHA and NSBA.

Join us in recognizing two individuals who have and continue to play essential roles within the IHSALifetime Achievement Award recipient Eleanor Ellis and our Pioneer Award honoree, Lisa Bailey Cassidy. Are you graduating and looking to start your career? Don't miss out on Friday's career fair, sponsored by the USHJA. The organizations and businesses participating are interested in IHSA members. This is going to be a great event!

Be sure to visit all our vendors and sponsors who support the IHSA throughout the year. Good luck this week and enjoy this wonderful time together!

Sincerely,

Peter Cashman IHSA Executive Director
