A MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL
MANAGER

Dear Members,
I am delighted to share that the reopening of the renovated Clubhouse is, at last, tentatively scheduled for May. As I write this message, the physical works are already 95 percent complete and we will begin seeking the necessary Government approvals upon their full completion in April. However, as we have no control over the timeline of the approval process, I am obliged to add the word ‘tentatively’ to cover all eventualities. Touch wood, all will go as planned.
Please expect some changes to the opening hours of our restaurants in the days prior to the reopening of the Clubhouse, during which time many of our staf will be deployed in setting up Clubhouse facilities and reinstating equipment. Though it will be a case of all hands on deck during this short and intensely busy period, rest assured that we will do our utmost to minimise inconveniences. I feel confident that once you lay eyes on your beautiful new Clubhouse, any minor disruptions will be forgotten.
Beyond the reopening of the Clubhouse, we have a string of exciting events lined up to keep you continually engaged, entertained and committed to the Club. Among them are our now annual Summerfest – albeit in a very diferent format, our Mother’s Day Brunch and our Father’s Day Barbecue Lunch. Book early, mark your calendars and save the dates!
On a more serious note, may I remind you to please remember to wear masks at all times other than eating and swimming. For repeat ofenders, the Management reserves the right to restrictions from entering the Club. While nobody enjoys taking this hard line, it is for the greater good that we are adopting a zero-tolerance stance. It would be very sad indeed to see the Club closed, especially so close to the summer break, and have everyone sufer for the ‘sins’ of a few.
Moving on to a sensitive topic, please ensure that all babies and toddlers are kitted up in swimming diapers when entering the pool. Over the past three months, we have had several mishaps which have caused quite a stink, so to speak. It is highly unpleasant, not to mention unhygienic, and completely avoidable.
Now I’ve gotten that of my chest, I would like to invite you to reciprocate by raising any issues that you would like to discuss with me. My ears are always open, and all feedback, both positive and negative, is very welcome. Please email me directly at aaron.lim@swissclub.org.sg and let me know what’s on your mind.
Thank you, dear Members and friends, for the concerted efort in keeping our Club safe, clean and open. It is greatly appreciated. Please do join me in welcoming back the grand old dame, now rejuvenated with a facelift – your ‘good old, brand new’ Clubhouse!
Yours sincerely,
A. Lim
