BETTER THAN A SLEEPING PILL Insomnia is usually caused by excessive tension and anxiety, which stops the brain from switching off. When you go to bed, unfinished tasks and unexpressed tensions surface. Thoughts and emotions spin around in your mind and produce a constant internal stimulation that keeps you tense. Not surprisingly, sleep eludes you.

The good news is – yoga can help.

Incorporating yoga into your daily routine can improve your sleep quality, which in turn will improve your physical health and cognitive function. Several studies have shown that yoga is beneficial for improving quality of sleep.

TRY THIS BEDTIME RITUAL Next time you are unable to sleep, try the following yogic techniques to calm your mind.
