Belphy, is an experimental tactile typeface inspired by ‘Belfie’. Belfie is a compound word indicating selfie with a focus on butt.

How do we determine what makes a person beautiful?

The "perfect" female (and male) body pursued by society has greatly changed over the years. It has been a long history for the society judging females’ figures.

The whole belfie trend is rasied up by Kim Kardashian, one of the most popular celebrities on social media. Later on, thousands of people follow the trend.

The selfie stick has a belfie version which costs more and get sold out quickly.

We are doing what we want or doing what they want.

This is the alphabet section of Belphy. I did not restrain myself as a traditional typedesigner whereas ‘Belphy’ is more like an experimentation on tactile type for me.

The large ‘O’

I tend to enlarge the ‘O’, making it to stands out among all. Because ‘O’ is the most similar shapes pertaining to butts, the ‘Belphy’ idea could be enhanced through the distinctive ‘O’.
