Year 7 Sport Interschool Sport Semester One

The Interschool Sport elective involves students playing or competing for the College in Netball, Soccer or AFL. The program builds on students’ existing sporting knowledge and game understanding, in addition to developing the skills required for their respective sport. In TERM 1, Yr7 students will be involved in a SEPEP unit in their chosen sport that will be organised by Yr8 students. This will involve skill and match simulation training sessions. During TERM 2, Yr7 students will compete in a weekly fixture competition in their chosen sport against other Geelong-based Independent Schools (GISSA).


Year 7 Sport Interschool Sport Semester Two

A wide range of sports are offered in the Yr7 Interschool Sport Elective (Semester Two). In TERM 3, students have the opportunity to trial for Basketball and Badminton teams that compete in the weekly Geelong Independent Schools Sports Association (GISSA) competition. Or they choose to be involved in other Racquet/Striking sports, Invasion games and/or Aerobic/Fitness. In TERM 4, Yr7 students will compete in weekly matches against other Geelongbased Independent Schools in either Cricket, Tennis, Volleyball, Softball or Water Polo.
