Make time for yourself!

If you are the caregiver for a friend or loved one, it’s important to take care of yourself, too. Choose healthy foods, make sleep a priority, exercise and spend a few minutes each day doing something you look forward to. Adding just 20 more minutes a day of physical activity such as walking or swimming can significantly lower your risk of being hospitalized for serious medical conditions, including diabetes, gallbladder disease, blood clots and urinary tract infections.
