More Than Enough is a community united by our faith and committed to helping churches care for children and families in foster care. Together, we are determined to achieve our shared vision of more than enough for children and families before, during and beyond foster care in every US county. The More Than Enough Community is facilitated by CAFO, which supports the Community to multiply on-the-ground care for children and families.
The Community pursues a shared strategy to provide more than enough loving homes for every child in foster care — including foster, adoptive and supported biological families. Drawing on tools and practices that are serving children and families well across the US, we meet the specific needs within our communities. We believe that local networks of passionate churches, organizations and advocates working together can fill the gaps that will make the biggest difference for children and families in every one of the 3,143 counties in the US.
As part of the More Than Enough Community, you’ll find the resources and support you need to multiply the impact of your time, people and funding. You can get started with the resources below.
THE MORE THAN ENOUGH FELLOWSHIP
The More Than Enough Fellowship is a funded launch cohort that will guide you and other collaborators in your community through the earliest stages of working together to provide more than enough for children and families in foster care. Alongside matching funding to fuel your collaboration, you’ll find coaching and connection with others working to rally the Body of Christ around children and families in your county.
THE MORE THAN ENOUGH PODCAST
The More Than Enough Podcast connects you to the people, ideas and tools that will help you and your community work together to move from not enough to more than enough for children and families in foster care.

Recognized on the Second Sunday in November
Every year thousands of Christians around the world participate together on the second Sunday in November in a beautiful honoring of God’s heart for the most vulnerable children and families among us.
It’s a both/and expression — of both the diversity and the unity of the Body of Christ — a powerful demonstration of the Church at its best when it is, together, reflecting God’s heart for the orphaned and vulnerable. Pure Religion Sunday describes the breadth of diverse events taking place worldwide on this day.
Traditionally, churches have used Orphan Sunday when the focus is global orphan care and Stand Sunday for the US foster system — but we recognize that many churches are deeply invested in caring for orphaned and vulnerable children and families near and far.
If choosing a name, we invite churches and organizations to consider Pure Religion Sunday as an opportunity to align vision and name together going forward — or contextualize the name to match current mission, ministry and vision.
TOOLS & RESOURCES
Each year, CAFO provides tools and resources to support organizations and churches in leveraging Pure Religion Sunday for deeper engagement in your community. These resources include the Pure Religion Guide, Leverage Booklet and customizable graphics and are available through the site below.

Based on the confidence that living life unto God is distinctively good for us, our focus is strengthening the vibrancy of daily Christian life lived together within the home.
