Pray for the Summer exhibition in our head office in Nijkerk, The Netherlands. It will take place in the months of June, July and August. The theme is: ‘50 years of reunited Jerusalem.’ Jerusalem as a centre in the Bible. As focal point for politics. As city of faith.
Friday 2 June
Through the president of Lebanon, Michael Aoun, the terrorist organization Hezbollah has political and military influence in every part of the country, concentrated on the border with Israel. Pray that Israel will dwell in safety.
Saturday 3 June Sabbath
Praying for Israel also means magnifying God in His creation. ‘For by Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth; He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.’ (Colossians 1:16-17)
Sunday 4 June Pentecost
During the Feast of Pentecost Jesus fulfilled the promise He had given earlier: ‘I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.’ (John 14:15-25) Thank our Heavenly Father for His Holy Spirit, the Comforter, and the Spirit of Truth.
Monday 5 June
As Christians for Israel, we ask you to pray for the Israeli government and authorities, irrespective of their political background. It is not up to us to voice our opinion about that but to pray for them.
Tuesday 6 June
Thank God that since 2013 Israel has given medical care to thousands of seriously injured Syrians. This has to be done in secret, or else these Syrians risk losing their lives.
Wednesday 7 June
Jerusalem – heaven’s eternity in earth’s finality. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem on the basis of Psalm 53:6 ‘Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of His people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!’
Thursday 8 June
Ethiopian Jews in Israel have started a campaign for bringing the last Jews from Ethiopia to Israel, with the slogan: ‘Let Our People Come!’ Pray that this Aliyah (return to Israel) from Ethiopia will also be successful.
Friday 9 June
Pray for organizations that assist the Jewish Agency in helping with Aliyah, like the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem, Ebenezer Emergency Fund and of course Christians for Israel. It is extraordinary that many Christians recognize the return of the Jews to Israel from God’s Word, and support Aliyah.

Saturday 10 June Sabbath
Today please pray for the field workers of Christians for Israel in Ukraine. They often have to do their work in exhausting and dangerous circumstances. Pray for the groups of volunteers that distribute food parcels in the Jewish communities.
Sunday 11 June
Pray for Rev Willem Glashouwer and his many speaking engagements. Pray that his books that have been translated in many give an understanding of the times we live in, and that they will turn the attention of Christians towards the return Christ in such a way that they will attune their lives to this expectation.
Monday 12 June
Aliyah brings Jews from over a hundred different countries and cultures together in Israel. Thank God that He is bringing His people home. Pray that they will understand and accept each other, so that the Lord can bless them in the Land. (Psalm 133)
Tuesday 13 June
Since 1974 international speaker and author Steve Lightle has been involved with Aliyah. Jeremiah 32:37-42 particularly appeals to him. In these six verses God declares His will about Aliyah ten times! Give thanks for the prophetic Word that touches people in our time!
Wednesday 14 June
The return of the Jewish people, which Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel speak about, is taking place in our time. God wants to use us in this prophetic event. Steve Lightle says about this matter: ‘There are three things you can do: Pray, Pray and Pray.’
Thursday 15 June
‘Be patient then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming.’ (James 5:7-8) Let us take this exhortation and encouragement to heart, and realize that we may be expecting Him Who will make all things new, especially in the restless time we live in.
Friday 16 June
Continue to pray for Israel, especially for Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria – Israel’s heartland. Day after day there are provocative articles in the media and hurtful statements of politicians. In addition, any moment terror can strike, killing or wounding Jews.
Saturday 17 June Sabbath
When we pray for Israel, we should realize that intercession is an essential part of our prayer life. Prayer is not an ambulance that can be summoned in case of need. Prayer is always possible, because God is always there.
Sunday 18 June
Pray for the work of Aleh, a major aid organization for the physically and mentally handicapped in Israel. In support of Aleh, Christians for Israel built a new wing for their facilities in Jerusalem, as jubilee present for the 50th anniversary of reunited Jerusalem. In this way we may put Matthew 25:40 into practice.
Monday 19 June
Pray and give thanks for the Jewish and Christian volunteers, who regularly visit survivors of the Holocaust. They do their shopping, accompany them to a physician, listen to their stories and offer comfort in their deep grief.
Tuesday 20 June
Recently Brigadier general Tzvika Haimov declared that Israel continues to be extremely vulnerable, despite the completion of the highly advanced missile defence shield. From Lebanon projectiles with a reach of 300 kilometres can cover the whole country. Pray that Israel will dwell safely.
Wednesday 21 June
From Gaza a new problem is presenting itself: recently Hamas acquired heavy projectiles with a reach of only 8 kilometres. For the missile defence shield it is difficult to take these down. Pray that Israel will dwell safely in the south as well.
Thursday 22 June
Since the beginning of this year Iran has positioned, through Hezbollah, a socalled ‘Free the Golan Brigade’ on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights. There, Iran distributes banners with the words: ‘Israel will be destroyed.’ Pray with © Christians for Israel | Prayer Calendar June-July 2017

Thank God for the words of the prophet Isaiah: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.’ (Isaiah 56:7b) Jerusalem is important to those who believe in God. The Jewish people steward the city and see to it that it is open for everyone. Christianity and Islam can rely on this.
Saturday 24 June Sabbath
The 54 African countries are important for the vote on Israel in the United Nations (UN). Thank God that Israel finds more and more friendship in Africa, and the number of African Christians is steadily rising.
Sunday 25 June
When a small number of countries (for instance USA, Great Britain or Australia) do not give their vote to an anti-Israel resolution in the UN, it causes other countries to think about also changing their votes. Pray for this trend to continue.
Monday 26 June
The United Nations meet every month to discuss the Middle East. Nearly always this is about Israel. Since President Trump has come to power, US representative Nikki Haley has insisted to discuss other countries in the Middle East as well. Pray that this too will continue.
Tuesday 27 June
The way to peace (Isaiah 2:1-4) is through war (Matthew 24:6). Mark adds to this: ‘Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.’ (Mark 13:7b). An apparent paradox… Pray to be able to understand God’s Word and to know how to pray about this.
Wednesday 28 June
We live in unique times, now that two developments are taking place that have never happened before. The Gospel going out all over the world (Matthew 24:14), and the restoration of Israel (Matthew 24:32-34). Pray that the eyes of Christians will be opened to this.
Thursday 29 June
There is a battle and intimidation against Israel concerning the situation of the Palestinians. This happens in the UN, UNESCO, the EU, human rights organizations, but also within governments and political parties. Pray that Israel will know how to handle the Palestinian issue, but that they will also make clear that they will continue to live in biblical territory, and why.
Friday 30 June
Rabbi Eli Sadan of the national religious movement has made a call for uniting the divided people of Zion. In this he includes Jewish soldiers who believe in Jesus. He does not agree with their faith in Jesus, but recognizes that they put their lives at stake for Israel’s safety just as well.
July 2017 Saturday 1 July Sabbath
Today please pray for the international work of Christians for Israel, for the provision of information through newspapers and websites, books, and DVDs. Pray that people will be touched by this information, so that love for Israel and the Bible will start to grow.
Sunday 2 July
In the upcoming week, pray for Israel on the theme: ‘Israel, trust in God!’ ‘House of Israel… house of Aaron, trust in the Lord – He is their help and shield.’ (Psalm 115:9-11)
Monday 3 July
Pray for safety for the south of Israel. Since Yayha Simwar, the new leader of Hamas in Gaza, took power, the situation of the Palestinian population has deteriorated and the threat for the Israel population has increased.
Tuesday 4 July
Continue to pray for the south of Israel! The terror threat from Sinai and Gaza is continually present. Pray that the inhabitants will put their trust in God, and find rest and hope in doing so. © Christians for Israel | Prayer Calendar June-July 2017
Wednesday 5 July
Today for the first time a Prime Minister from India is expected to visit Israel. Narenda Modi will stay until tomorrow. Pray for this visit and for the contacts with other countries in the Far East, which are both cordial and business-like.
Thursday 6 July
When interceding for Israel and for other situations, it is useful to read and put into practice 2 Timothy 3 verses 16 and 17. These verses speak of God’s Word and of being fully equipped.
Friday 7 July
As you know warm countries have very high humidity. Israeli start-up company WaterGen takes this humidity from the air using a simple system, producing drinking water! This is ideal for both India and Miami. Give thanks that Israel is a blessing in this way as well. (Genesis 12:2-3)
Saturday 8 July Sabbath
Today and tomorrow young adults from all over the world will travel to Israel to join the program of Isreality. The group will stay in Israel until the 21st of July to discover the land, meet young Israelis and to do volunteer work. Pray that these young people will come to see God’s plan with Israel.
Sunday 9 July
In the upcoming week pray for Israel on the theme: ‘His faithfulness is forever.’ ‘Let Israel say… let the house of Aaron say: His love endures for ever.’ (Psalm 118:2-4)
Monday 10 July
Christians in Syria and Iraq, actually in all of the Middle East, are not only losing their homelands, but their identity as well. Pray for the Christians in those countries. Pray also that the West will end their political impartiality.
Tuesday 11 July
Thank God that the synod of the Evangelische Kirche Deutschland (Evangelical Church of Germany) has asked forgiveness from the Jewish community for the sufferings caused to Jews by ‘hostile thought patterns’ in the writings of Martin Luther.
Wednesday 12 July
In this holiday season you may be visiting many towns in different countries. Be sure to find information about the Jews who lived there or are still living there. Pray that their history will receive due attention, pray for the Jewish communities.
Thursday 13 July
Pray for the safety and future of Christians in the Middle East. Pray for members of the European Parliament like Bas Belder, who has stood up for these Christians for many years, and also gives a clear voice to Israel.
Friday 14 July
Since the sixties, immigrant churches have sprung up in many European countries, with believers from all over the world: from Africa, the Middle East or eastern Europe. Pray that in these communities they will study the restoration of Israel in the Bible.
Saturday 15 July Sabbath
‘I saw a new heaven and a new earth (…) I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem.’ (Revelation 21:1-4) Just like the New Jerusalem will play a prominent role in the future world, so present-day Jerusalem has a unique position in our world today. Thank God for this revelation and pray for understanding about it.
Sunday 16 July
In the upcoming week pray for Israel on the theme: ‘Blessed be the Lord’. ‘Oh house of Israel… house of Aaron… house of Levi… you who fear Him, praise the Lord!' (Psalm 135:19-21)
Monday 17 July
Pray for tourists travelling in Israel, that they will show love and encouragement to the population. Pray also for foreign volunteers working in all kinds of institutions and hospitals. This friendship never fails to touch Israel.
Tuesday 18 July
It is wonderful that gas supplies have been found on the coast of Israel: a blessing to the economy, and good for trade with other countries! These gas fields also need to be protected – your prayer for this.

Six strategies with which the evil one, the liar from the beginning, tries to disrupt and work against God’s plans for Israel, are the following: 1) Discredit Israel in the intellectual realm. 2) Reduce the size of the country.
Friday 21 July
3) Put enormous pressure on Israel’s Prime Minister. 4) Damage the role of the army (IDF). 5) Cause financial damage to the state. 6) Rob Israel of all its friends. In our intercession we may ask God to intervene, so that He will reach His goal with Israel!
Saturday 22 July Sabbath
In Isaiah 40:9-11 it is written: ‘Here is your God’ and ‘He tends His flock like a shepherd.’ Such wonderful promises for the cities of Judah, and for expressing your love in your prayers for the Jewish people on this Sabbath.
Sunday 23 July
In the upcoming week pray for Israel with the theme: ‘In the name of the Lord’. ‘All the nations surrounded me… they surrounded me on every side… they swarmed around me like bees… but in the name of the Lord I cut them off.’ (Psalm 118:10-12)
Monday 24 July
Today please pray for the staff and volunteers of Christians for Israel around the world. Standing up for Israel is a beautiful task, but also a hard one.
Tuesday 25 July
The restoration of Israel and the battle for it among the nations is very much connected to the coming of Jesus and His Kingdom of peace and righteousness. Let’s always keep this in mind when we pray for the future of Israel as a land and a people.
Wednesday 26 July
Pray for the almost 50 international affiliates of Christians for Israel – from Albania to New Zealand and from Brazil to Ethiopia. Thank God for the many preachers and Christians who are reached, and who can pass on the message about Israel.
Thursday 27 July
Pray that this Summer season will be used by theologians and preachers to read the prophetic books of the Bible. For here it often starts: God’s Spirit will touch those who examine. (Revelation 1:4-8).
Friday 28 July
In the beginning of May, the thousands of Israeli soldiers who fell in many wars were commemorated. Pray for comfort and encouragement for their relatives and for the wounded who always carry the pain and grief with them.
Saturday 29 July Sabbath
Thank God that –besides excavations concerning the Nabateans in the Arava desert and a Roman road near Beit Shemesh- dozens of mikve (ritual bathplaces) have been dug up under the city wall of Jerusalem next to the Temple Square. Abundant proof of Jewish presence in that period.
Sunday 30 July
‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever.’ (Hebrews 13:8) Thank God that on the basis of this faith we can pray for the poor in Israel, who make up more than 30% of the population. Wherever possible take action yourself.
Monday 31 July
Pray that Iran’s power will be restricted! This country’s power politics are dangerous for Israel’s very existence. Especially through the influence on other countries (Syria) and terroristic organizations (Hezbollah). Take this point of prayer very seriously.
