Building a new future…

In December of 2021, we became not just the custodians of Christie’s International Real Estate, we became stewards of the most iconic brand in real estate. As one does when you start a new 100-year journey, our team questioned everything. What would we keep, what would we change, and how would we leave our mark? And in that process, the existence of the magazine was questioned. Was there a place in a brokerage technology company for a print magazine? I believe there was. And is. So fervently that I fought to keep it in print.

Our global network started as Christie’s Great Estates. Kay Coughlin with her staff (including Kaysha Velarde-Wilson, who still works on the magazine to this day) presented the world’s most desired estates. This magazine is not just our birthright; it embodies our mission to empower the very best independent brokerages in the world to showcase homes worthy of the Christie’s International Real Estate seal of approval.

Today, the Invisible House is emblematic of the new magazine under our leadership. The changes in the global network might be invisible to the unknowing, but inside the network, we’ve done more than add new affi liates in London, New York, Miami, Silicon Valley, Milan, Tokyo, Naples, and Los Angeles. We’ve created a global luxury real estate network like no other. And we’re just getting started.

In putting this magazine together, the idea of a new era of extraordinary has been our central inspiration. Extraordinary —of mind as much as of appearance—implies intelligence, certainty of taste, a balanced and centered identity. And we’d have it no other way.

Welcome to the new Christie’s International Real Estate.
