Summer break is a time where children are on a free rein - sometimes bursting with energy, sometimes lazy, sometimes utterly bored! Summer is also the best time to engage your child in activities other than academics. Ø Summer camp at the Dancer’s Gallery is a fun getaway for kids to channel all that energy during the school break. We love sharing memorable experiences and positive movement with our summer campers! Our Kids Explored New & Fun Activities Children love learning new tricks!Summer camp at the Dancer’s Gallery was the perfect place for kids to learn new moves and encounter new friends for the first time. Depending on what classes your kid enrolled for, he or she may have had the opportunity to learn about jazz, ballet, belly dancing or contemporary dance to name a few. Each type of dance has their own unique style, but fun and movement were the common denominators that defined our little dancers’ experiences. Our Kids Experienced Personal Growth and Increased Confidence One of the goals of our summer camp activities was to provide a creative, supportive and nurturing environment in which children could grow and learn. As the kids explored new areas of interest by indulging in various activities, we watched their confidence blossom along with the desire to achieve excellence in their performances. Our Kids Developed Strong Social Skills Social skills are as important to success as academic skills; and absolutely essential to building healthy relationships. Our camp was a fun opportunity to make new friends in a stress-free, pressure-free, inclusive and nurturing environment. We hope that making new friends with children from other communities and being mentored by caring dance instructors helped kids build social skills that will serve them for a long time to come! ore and after each dance session was palpable!

Our Kids Learned the Value of Independence and Responsibility Ø No matter how big or small a class is, one instructor can only be in one place at one time. Our dance classes were structured to encourage kids to practice independently but also to seek out help from older kids or instructors when they identified a gap in their learning. Ø Along with making new friends and communicating effectively, kids at our summer camp also learned to independently find solutions to complex dance problems. Ø All-in-all, summer camp is a great way to teach a child how to take charge of their life!
