ARTISTIC WORK
PAINTINGS Art has been a part of my life since I was young. It was not until high school that my skill truly developed. This encouraged my career in architecture, through my desire to follow a visual based career with opportunity for creative design. Many of my pieces have been displayed at the Myer Horowitz, as well as the Leduc Composite High School Permanent Art Collection 3

01 ARTISTIC WORK
DRAWINGS I primarily draw in pencil and charcoal. Drawing helped in developing my visual talent and attention to detail. Through representation of the visual world around me I can realistically convey my views onto paper. This is a trait that aids in my work as an Architectural Technologist. 24”x30” - “GUARDIANS” CHARCOAL DRAWING

FLOOR PLANS The first residential design was created during my work week for the specified requirements of the companie’s owners as a “mock” plan. This was to get more experience with residential design. The second residential floor plan was generated by NAIT and used to teach Revit. Through numerous Revit courses I have a strong ability in the use of the program. s 7

DORMITORY PROJECT In first year Design at NAIT, our major project was to design a dormitory with a first floor commercial space along with a 2nd and 3rd floor residential space. Then, in second year Construction Documents, we generated the documents for the original first year design.

AUTOCAD CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS DORMITORY PROJECT A portion of Construction Documents was created to show the details of the dormitory. Throughout my NAIT experience a thorough knowledge of building envelope has enabled me to create drawings such as these. All required careful attention to detail and sufficient representation of information. DORMITORY WALL SECTIONS NTS

SITE AND URBAN DESIGN BANK SITE DESIGN AND ROSSDALE REDEVELOPMENT As part of the Canadian Western Bank Design Competition, a site analysis was completed. This analysis involved creating a site plan for the proposed buildings. The redevelopment of Rossdale is designed to expand our knowledge and experience related to the land use bylaws. Shown is the inventory of the site prior to the redevelopment proposal. 15

SKETCHUP MODELS AND CONSTRUCTED MODELS DORMITORY, HISTORY MODEL, TOURIST INFO CENTRE The construction documents drawings were based off the dormitory renderings to the right. The historical model is a to scale matt board model based off the Divo Fastinae. This was a group project completed the first semester at NAIT. Last is the tourist information model designed for Yukon Territory, constructed from balsa wood and Plexiglas. 17

SKETCHUP MODELS AND CONSTRUCTED MODELS CANADIAN WESTERN BANK DESIGN As part of third semester Design at NAIT, the semester project was to design a bank for the client, Canadian Western Bank. The competition was based on functionality, sustainability, corporate identity, and concept. My design was based off the balance of these elements and how these all work towards creating a strong design. 19
