According to the Asbury Park Press, Monmouth and Ocean County placed seven schools in the top 50 in the state, in addition to two schools placing in the top 100 nationally.
High Technology High School, located on the Brookdale Community College campus in the Lincroft section of Middletown, was the highest-ranked New Jersey school from Monmouth or Ocean counties in this year’s list at No. 3. It was also ranked No. 57 nationally and as the top STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) school in the entire country.
Biotechnology High School in Freehold Township finished No. 6 statewide and No. 85 nationally. The highest-ranked Ocean County school was Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science in Stafford. MATES was ranked No. 29 in the state and No. 652 nationally.
