Full Circle Commercial Studio
Employee Lounge Perspective
For commercial studio we were given this location and space to open a new fictional company or branch of a large corporation. MGM Resorts International was the client I chose for this project. Full Circle is located at 3020 Market Street in Philadelphia, PA. As a class we surveyed the space. Full Circle is a company who promotes healthy work environments for other companies. The concept of the space is holistic harmony and promotes the idea of an open office environment.

This is a contemporary townhouse in Old City Philadelphia made for two brothers who are recently divorced and their three sons. Both brothers were looking for a contemporary space that had a clean design. The concept of the space was to make the center of the home the central space for circulation. The opening in the center of the home allows light to flow into the house through the skylight in the roof. The house is filled with public and private spaces. Each person living in the house is able to get a good amount of private space to themselves, while also having a large amount of space for gathering and spending time together as a family.

Nalu, which means wave in Hawaiian, is an urban surf shop located in Northern Liberties in Philadelphia. The retail space features old versus new with all types of surfboards from wood to fiberglass. The concept of the space invites the shoppers through dynamic wave-like structures. The space contains a sense of movement to reflect the way a wave moves and the feeling of surfing. The environment features wood, frosted glass, and different shadesA of blues to make the viewers feel like they are surrounded by a body of water. The inspiration comes from the movement of an ocean wave, the characteristics of water, and the meaning of surfing. Surfers get this feeling of Zen and often referred it to a type of meditation and time to just focus on one thing - the ocean. The space is intended to create a relaxing environment, but also creating a showcase for the different types of surfboards sold.

Gallery Perspective
The concept / parti of the design was to create mystery within the space. In Carnivale De Venice the masks worn create a mystery to the audience. To accomplish this I created a maze throughout the gallery, which creates confusion and mystery. The main hallway that takes you into the living spaces have windows that are viewing into the gallery. Although you can not see the whole gallery from the windows you can see some. The boxes on the ceiling goes into multiple rooms within the gallery and living space to create mystery.
