Sitting on a 680-sq.m coastal plot, this three-storey villa project includes a basement and roof deck, 4 bedrooms, 7 baths, 3 kitchens, and a 5-car parking. The preliminary interior design brief incorporates a fusion of new classic and modern luxury styles along the entrance, french classical revival style on the guest suite (which covers one entire floor), and a simple new classic style for the bedrooms. Involvement encompasses the conceptual interior design, architectural design development, tender and construction supervision.m

Spaces : Roadside (Front) & Seaside (Rear) Landscape

Floor Area : 175 sq.m

Simple residential landscape design incorporating various client-preferred plant species, such as olive trees, birds of paradise, zz plants, bamboo, palm trees, ferns, succulents, hanging plants and shrubs.m

Spaces : Infinity Pool Deck with Sea View

The shaded pool deck serves as an transitory space towards the waters of the pool, the sea and beyond. It also allows to for an inside-outside feel without overpowering the elegant interiors and breathtaking coastal views.m

The basement parking was also designed in modern contemporary style, but with extra gloss and extra lux levels that make the cars appear shiny and luxurious. The glossy painted walls and ceiling serve as a room divider that distinguishes the driveway from the parking slots, and the cement-effect plaster offers a visually textured contrast.m

Both spaces happen to share one similar element: half-arch lighting. To which the pool deck would be illuminated by recessed slender flexible LED strip profiles, while the parking would have thicker suspended linear light. This array of illuminated half-arches gives depth leading the the spaces further back.m

Space : Living Area

Floor Area : 40 sq.m

As part of the high-ceiling open-concept plan located on the entrance, this living area has a curtain wall view of the sea in the south and a low view of softscape ground in the east, which appears as an extension to the Crema Marfil marble slab flooring. The white-and-gold new classic style has been prevalent to majority of the spaces within this villa. Responsibilities involve design and 3D visualization, room detail drawings, site supervision of civil and electrical works to be in line with the interior design, as-built meas securing client approvals for materials, preparation of breakdown of quantities, reaching out and negotiating with local and international suppliers for furniture, lighting, marble and gypsum.b

Floor Area : 53 sq.m

Proposed simple new classic bedroom design with decorative gypsum plaster wall mouldings on ivory cream walls, Crema Marfil marble slab flooring, gold hardware in furniture and lighting, and striplighting of steps for visual safety and aesthetic detail transitioning from the sleeping area to the walk-in closet area. The proposed U-shaped walk-in closet comes with transparent glass hinged doors on both sides and mirrored glass hinged doors in the middle side which adds illusory depth to the space, as well as functionally serve as vanity mirror. Responsibilities involved interior design and 3D visualization, room detail drawings, site supervision of civil and electrical works to be in line with the interior design, as-built measuring, securing client approvals for materials, preparation of breakdown of quantities, reaching out and negotiating with local and international suppliers for furniture (Bahrain & Italy), lighting (Bahrain, Italy & China), marble (Italy & Spain) and gypsum (Bahrain), and visiting furniture suppliers based in Masko and Modoko sites in Istanbul, Turkey.m

Space : Guest Bedroom Toilet and Bath

Floor Area : 25 sq.m

Inspired by the white and gold new classic design, this proposed full toilet and bath is clad with Calacatta Macchia Vecchia porcelain slabs throughout all walls and floor and goldplated decorative Grade 316 Stainless Steel sheet on niche walls (trim on floor and ceiling). The bathtub serves as a statement piece of the room where one may have stretched views of the stilldeveloping urban neighborhood while bathing. Responsibilities involved conceptual design and 3D visualization, toilet detail drawings, site supervision to ensure that the civil works and MEP works are in line with the interior design intent, securing client approvals and procurement of material finishes and sanitarywares.m
