Big Idea Book – Identity Through out these images, I focused on how an individual’s personal perception (i.e. memories, experiences, relationships, beliefs, world views, culture, etc.) influence their view of their own identity, the identity of the social group to which they belong, as well as their view of the identity of others around of different social groups. These images raise questions of: Is there a true, real identity? What is reality? Does reality exist? Is there only ever perception? I would like to continue to investigate these questions through artwork and research.
