Dear Employer, Welcome to a workforce development program that offers real differences.

Our launch partners*

The Hit the Ground Running program has been built around one core principle - that every business is totally unique. To achieve the highest possible staff retention, employers require a workforce pipeline that has been designed in part by them and for them. For this reason, this program offers the ability to choose from candidates trained in your organisation, to your specifications. And if you elect to hire candidates, it will be because they have already demonstrated their productivity in your team, taking much of the risk and cost out of hiring. This program offers the ability to work with an experienced Job Futures team that understands your local needs, wherever your sites are located across Australia. We are the only employment services provider that gives you a vast network of local members embedded in their communities managed from one central location.

ENTIRE recruitment

Our mission is to reduce the effects of lost productivity or Job Lag on your business. More broadly, we aim to reduce the record levels of youth unemployment and high employment barriers for other groups of job seekers. As a not-for-profit organisation we exist to ensure all Australians have equal opportunities to enjoy all the economic and social benefits that employment brings. We hope you will join us in making Australia more productive and more inclusive.

What is Job Lag? There are significant costs of finding, recruiting, training new staff and bringing them up to speed – this is Job Lag, and it’s costing Australian businesses billions. Research shows that Job Lag costs the Australian economy a staggering $6 billion a year and averages at about 51 per cent of an employee’s annual wage. The cost of losing and replacing even a single employee can be over $38,000*. It is caused by poor recruitment, induction, training and development practices.

Program Overview Employers need a workforce pipeline where recruits are integrated fast.

Based on leading international research, the program has been designed to reduce costs to employers and provide equal access to all the benefits that employment brings.

“Its allowed us to invest in a new way to bring people into our organisation and its allowed us to really value our front of house staff and be able to do some planning, so when someone leaves we have a pipeline to fall back upon of fully integrated talent.

The program focuses on what you need from new employees. It matches the training program to your job requirements, identifies funding options, and finds the participants that best match your specific requirements. It also offers support on-going.

Paul Brant, Recruitment Manager Australian Hearing

The Job Futures Hit the Ground Running program, is designed to address this need and meet the critical success factors that reduce Job Lag. Our tailored programs accesses Government funding to provide on-the-ground training and inductions that have been shown to increase productivity and retention.
