IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ THIS SECTION FIRST Savercall-3000 is a Do-It-Yourself Wireless Security System designed to help users protect themselves, their loved ones, and their property and personal possessions. Please read through the important information below before getting started with Savercall-3000. •

Carefully follow the instructions in this manual when installing, setting up and programming Savercall-3000

Take special notice of any specified notes, bullet points, and so on throughout this manual Warning: Please take the following precautionary measures or it may lead to serious injury or fatality. - Do not touch the power switch, adapter or power cord with wet hands. - Do no place the unit in dusty areas, and avoid exposing the power cord to heat. - Do not disassemble or apply shock to the unit, which may lead to electric shock or short circuit. - Do not pull the power cord - hold the plug to pull out and cut power. - This unit is set to work with 230V power source exclusively. Warning: Please take the following precautionary measures or it may lead to minor injury or damage to the product.

Keep Savercall-3000 away from water or damp areas.

2.

Do not use in hot temperatures or humid areas.

3.

Do not install Savercall-3000 in direct sunlight or near extreme heat.

4.

Do not install Savercall-3000 near strong electrical current or magnetic force.

5.

Avoid dropping Savercall-3000 or placing it in an area with strong vibration.

6.

Do not disassemble the product – doing so will render the Warranty void.

7.

If elderly people or pregnant women wish to test the siren, please test from a substantial distance away (about 33ft).

8.

Use soft fabric to clean the unit. - Using water, alcohol, benzine, or thinner may cause damage to the unit.

9.

Do not let pins, dust, or foreign substances enter the interior of the unit.

10. Turn off the power when inserting the adapter for DC input. - Use only the adapter provided by our company. We will not be responsible for any damage caused from using nonstandard adapters.

11. Disconnect the plug from the power source when the unit is not used for a long period of time. 12. If strange noises are heard while operating the unit, turn off the power and contact your local service center. 13. The warranty period of the rechargeable battery is 6 months. The battery’s life will shorten with time. Check the battery every 3 months for proper operation. Use only the battery provided by our company when replacing with a new one. 14. Do not connect the keyphone (local switchboard controller) to Savercall-3000 or it may cause damage to the product. 15. When lightning is expected, disconnect the phone line from the unit for protection. To better understand Savercall-3000 and its performance capabilities, users should test the entire system at least once a week

Overview of Savercall-3000 1. In case of intrusion 1) Door sensor or Motion detector will detect intrusion, and Savercall-3000 will sound alarm. 2) Siren will sound, and ‘Alarm notification call’ will call the programmed phone numbers. 3) SAVERCALL-3000 will call the first phone number. 4) If the call is answered, SAVERCALL-3000 will notify the situation and play the recorded user’s message. After this process, the menu will be voice guided to allow the receiver to control remotely. •

If the receiver answers the phone, Savercall-3000 will operate upon the user’s selection.

If the receiver doesn’t press 0, Savercall-3000 considers the phone not answered even if the receiver answered the phone, and tries to call the next phone number. If there is no answer, Savercall-3000 repeats this process three times.

2. Emergency call 1) An emergency situation occurs within the detection range of SAVERCALL –3000. 2) The user should press the “SOS” button of the remote controller or main unit. 3) SAVERCALL –3000 immediately dials the programmed phone number.

How to replace battery Open the cover using a screwdriver and replace the battery when necessary with: CR2032 3V x 1 ea.

Observe (+) and (-) ends. If the battery is low: * LED light appears dim or doesn’t work. * Battery life: 1 year * The range of operations and functions may be shortened. * Replace the battery when necessary. 17

How to replace batteries Open the cover as below and replace the batteries when necessary with: AAA-1.5V x 2 ea.

Observe (+) and (-) ends. If the battery is low: * Under wait mode, main unit alerts with the following voice messages: - “Door sensor has been activated.” - “Battery is low.”

* Battery lasts approx. one and a half years. * Change the battery when necessary. 18

Open the lid as shown above to replace battery or attach motion sensor.

Do not touch the sensor area. Use a soft fabric to clean this part when dirty.

How to wall mount the Motion detector Mount the Motion Detector using the included mount and screws. * Please note - Follow the diagram and details listed below, otherwise detection range may be shortened. Place the Motion Detector on a wall using bracket/screws or attach at the desired location. Tilt the Motion Detector slightly downward, approximately at 14° angle. The detection range covers about a 90° angle horizontally. The detection distance is approximately 33-ft.

Mounting on the ceiling If the interior is too wide for the sensor’s coverage, You may attach it to the ceiling. Refer to the detection range of the sensor and position it to directly face the target.

How to install Door Sensor •

You will need one Contact with Transceiver, one plain Contact, Shims (for spacers if necessary), and the included screws or double-sided tape for each Door Sensor setup

The space between within 1Cm(0.4inch)

Use the included shims if necessary to match the height of the two contacts

Stretch out cord for best reception

Make sure that LED lights up when door/window is opened

If LED does not light up, change the battery

When you install the door sensor on a wooden door. Use the included screws for installation. Magnetic Spacer

When you install the door sensor on a glass door. Use double-sided tape for installation.

Initial setup * For normal operation in case of emergency or intrusion, set the main unit before use.

To enter “Setting Mode” for the first time, follow the steps below: 1) Plug in A/C Adaptor to the main unit. 2) Turn on the power switch of the main unit at the back side by pressing WAIT/SET key. 3) You will hear “ding”, then Savercall-3000 enters setting mode. 4) Green LED will blink in setting mode. 0=Exit 1=ID 2=Sensor memory 3=Recording 4=Delaying alarm L C D 5=Phone number 6=Time 7=Others Select >> VOICE This is setting mode. Please select the function number. * If you cannot see the above menu, start from Step 2) after turning the system off Note: Please note that ‘1=ID’, ‘2=Sensor memory’, ‘3=Recording’, ‘5=Phone number’ are essential menu functions. * When registering, user can assign a “Sensor number” to each sensor, so that the user knows which sensor has been activated in case of intrusion or fire. “Sensor number” is very useful if you use many sensors. * It is not possible to delete the registered sensors one by one. It is only possible to change the sensor number. If you want to delete the registered sensors, initialize Savercall-3000. Door sensor

“4” To input alarm delay time [4=Delaying alarm] To input alarm delay time [4=Delay alarm] In case of entering ‘alarm mode’ or in the event of a situation, activation of Savercall-3000 will be delayed according to the alarm delay time. From the next step, registration will be the same as the above instructions. *If you input the wrong number, press ‘SOS’ button to return to the setting menu. *Alarm delay time will always be counted when you change the mode from ‘Wait mode’ to ‘Alarm away mode’ or ‘Alarm home mode.’ *In case of the below situation, ‘Alarm delay time’ will be counted if Savercall-3000 detects sensor’s activation under ‘Alarm mode’: If you assign ‘Door sensor’ or ‘Motion detector’s number as No.1. *In case of the below situation, ‘Alarm delay time’ will not be counted if it detects sensor’s activation under ‘Alarm mode’: If you assign ‘Door sensor’ or ‘Motion detector’s number between No.2 and No.30 If you press the ‘SOS’ button on main unit or remote controller If “Fire sensor” has been activated (“Fire sensor” will be activated in “Wait mode” and “Alarm away mode”, “Alarm home mode”.)

“Reason for Alarm notification call” will let you know which sensor has been activated and the sensor number, so that you can know the 57

Also, you can check which sensor has been activated sequentially by pressing 0 even during the “Alarm notification call’ dialing and when other sensors have been activated. Therefore, you will know the intruder’s route. •

Savercall-3000 has 3 types of LED as follows: Green LED: Wait/set mode Orange LED: Alarm-home mode Red LED: Alarm away mode ※ If all LED lights (Yellow /Orange/Red) are blinking, it means that an event has been activated. In this case, check the LCD by pressing([▼]button)and press [#DEL] key after investigating the event.

12. In case of disconnection of telephone line

ALARM AWAY =Phone disconnect If the telephone line is disconnected when Savercall enters “Alarm-home mode” or “Alarm-away mode”, “Phone disconnection alarm” will be activated.

In case of phone line disconnection, you will hear the voice message, “The telephone is disconnected.” five times, and the Yellow/Orange/Green LED light will blink. Also, LCD will notify the phone disconnection. You can check the situation using the [▼] button. In case of phone line disconnection, it is not possible to make emergency calls. If the phone line is recovered, Savercall-3000 will return to normal operation.

13. In case of power failure

VOICE The power supply is off In case of power failure, Savercall-3000 will work normally on the backup battery for 2 hours. Yellow/Orange/Green LED lights will blink, and it will be notified by voice guide and LCD. Savercall-3000 will perform normal operation if power is recovered. ※ If power is recovered, Savercall-3000 will return to the previous activation mode. Ex) If power fails in ‘Alarm away mode’, Savercall-3000 will return to “Alarm away mode” if power is recovered.

14. In case of low sensors battery When the sensors battery is low, the Yellow/Orange/Green LED lights will blink, and the LCD & Voice guide will notify low battery status (except remote controller.) If the battery of the remote controller is low, it will not be notified. Low battery alarm will sound upon sensor’s activation. Therefore, operate sensors 1~2 times a month to check battery status of sensors (especially if a sensor is installed in a remote area.) In case of low sensors battery, automatic alarm notification calls will not be made to notify the battery status. However, automatic alarm notification calls will be made if sensor detects an event, even when the battery is low. Ex) If the battery of motion detector number 1 is low: LCD

15. In case of changing the characteristics of sensors (Please use this function only in case of necessity.) Each sensor has their own characteristic among ‘W’, ‘H’, ‘A’. ① If sensor has ‘W’ characteristic, it will operate under all modes (Wait/Alarm-home/Alarm-away mode). ② If sensor has ‘H’ characteristic, it will only operate under ‘Alarmhome mode’ and ‘Alarm-away mode’. ③ If sensor has ‘A’ characteristic, it will only operate under ‘Alarmaway mode’.

Troubleshooting (Q & A) Q: What if I forget the password? A: 1. Turn off main unit. 2. Turn on main unit by pressing WAIT/SET Key. Then you will enter initial setting mode after ‘Beep’. Q: What if I don’t want to activate Motion Detector when someone is in? A: 1. Enter alarm home mode. 2. The range of detection in Alarm Away mode is set from the setting. 3. Refer to Remote Control/Sensor Registration in the manual for the setting. Q: Why can’t I receive phone calls? A: 1. Check that the programmed telephone number is correct. 2. Check that the telephone line is securely connected to the “LINE” port. 3. Check that the phone (connected to the main unit) is placed correctly. 4. Check that the dialing method is set correctly with the proper type phone line. Q: The motion detector is making false alarms. A: 1. Change the sensor’s location and direction to avoid detecting pets. 2. Check if the sensor is located near an air current source (ex: near an air conditioner, nearby a window) or a sunny place. Q: The remote controller doesn’t work. A: 1. Check remote controller light by pressing button. If light doesn’t work, change battery. 74


Q: The chime bell doesn’t work. A: 1. Check the chime bell setting. 2. Check if it is in wait mode. 3. Check the battery of door sensor. Q: In case the function button does not work well A: 1.
