The Bachelor of Architecture program will prepare you to be a well-rounded, highly creative graduate, able to contribute to the world through meaningful and inspiring architecture. As a professional program, the BArch endeavors to prepare students for licensure shortly after graduation, reducing the need for further graduate education or an advanced degree.

VILLA di POLIO FELICE VISITOR CENTER This project was completed with a partner, Julie Marlatt. My primary responsibilities were physical and digital modeling, sections, structure, and exterior development. She was primarily responsible for the site plan, interior design, and renderings. We split the work as evenly as possible for concept and floor plan development. We collaborated closely throughout the project made all of the major decisions together.

Sustainability
The seasonal and hourly orientation changes of the sun for Sorrento has lead to the creation of a very angular building that helps guide natural light through the interior spaces. The exterior of the building was also informed by methods of controlling light. This layout also helped form the structural system within the building and has put an emphasis on the interior and exterior views that are evident throughout the visitor’s experience.

ALFRED STATE NAAB TEAM ROOM The Architecture Department at Alfred State College had a major NAAB accreditation visit in the October of 2016 as a part of their ongoing efforts to accredit the BArch program there. I was hired over the summer and into the Fall semester to plan and execute the creation of the NAAB Team Room - a responsibility that directly impacted the success of that NAAB visit. My decisions were ultimately subject to final approval by the dept Chair. I collaborated directly with faculty members who assisted in varying capacities, however; the majority of the work was completed by me and I had a primary role in determining and curating what work would be on display.

*As per NAAB requirements, this space was not to be a pristine “gallery” of only the best work, but rather a space that shows a representative sample of all work in an efficient and user-friendly way.
My work also included measuring and documenting the existing room, the design, specification, and pricing of a purpose built model display/storage table as well as a poster storage rack (never realized) and the graphic design of labels throughout the space.

GUARANTY BUILDING MODEL
Building Documentation The project was to build a 1/4” scale model of Louis Sullivan’s Guaranty Building in Buffalo, NY to be on display in an interpretive center in the building. This project was part of a class then later as a professional commission. Professor Dave Carli was the professional model maker on this job, and there was a lost of other students who were involved in various capacities (in alphabetical order): Mary Allen, Mike Bowman, Eryn Cochran, Colin Davidson, Shannon Fay, Nick Graziosie, Josh Greenaker, Christiana Mehmal, and Brandon Oddo. The contributions of most of these students stopped after the class ended but mine continued through the delivery. This model could not have been completed without the help of these students, however; I put over 600 hours into this model - the most of all students by a large margin.
