———— ———— Adjacent to the new hospital, The Springfield Regional Cancer Center on North Street was the first medical facility to anchor itself downtown.It provides the latest in cancer care for most people in their own community, while providing access to a full array of clinical trials in partnership with the James Cancer Center, affiliated with The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center.

MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES A FULL SPECTRUM OF CARE

———— ———— Mental Health Services of Clark County opened its $10 million facility just across the street from Springfield Regional Medical Center in June 2013. With inpatient, outpatient, emergency and transition services, it also works cooperatively with the Springfield-based Mental Health and Recovery Board of Clark, Greene and Madison counties to provide a full spectrum of care.

ROCKING HORSE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER A MEDICAL HOME FOR EVERYONE

———— ———— With its core belief that every person deserves a medical home, the Rocking Horse Community Health Center provides primary care services to residents of all ages, regardless of ability to pay. The center, located just east of the South Fountain Historic District, underwent an $8 million, 42,000 square foot expansion to its campus in 2013.

KETTERING HEALTH SPRINGFIELD MEDICAL CENTER 24/7 EMERGENCY CENTER INCLUDING LAB AND IMAGING

———— ———— The new Kettering Health Springfield medical center, the 42,000 square foot building that was a Kroger grocery store until three years ago, is Kettering’s largest investment in the Springfield area to date.

The new location features examination rooms and offices for outpatient and specialist care. In addition, the facility will have a 24-hour fully functioning emergency department with 14 emergency beds and accommodations for trauma care and behavioral health. The space also includes imaging, lab services and office space for outpatient primary care and other similar service such as cardiology.

WRIGHT PATTERSON MEDICAL CENTER AND DAYTON VA MEDICAL CENTER NEARBY HEALTH SERVICES FOR VETERANS AND MILITARY PERSONNEL

———— ———— Wright-Patterson Medical Center, located 17 miles southwest of Springfield at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, provides a complete range of services to eligible military beneficiaries in the region. The Dayton VA Medical Center, 4100 West Third Street in Dayton, offers a full range of services to area veterans. Springfield’s Community Based Outpatient Clinic at 512 Burnett Road, offers home-based health care and outpatient mental health services for our veterans.
