Brief Title: Graphic Notebooks
( Collaborative Brief )
Brief The aim of this brief will be to produce and brand a range of Graphic Notebooks aimed at other design creatives, this is a collaborative brief with Chris Van Niekerk. The designs should represent and cover all the needs of a creative in the profession today without being the same as other notebooks that are out there already. The roles in the brief will be as follows: - Branding / Web / Editorial / Photography - Chris - Editorial / Point of Sale / Type and Layout - Marty
Background / Considerations Within our daily practice the need for notebooks are key. We have established 3 main differences in the notes and development we have in our own practice and this is broken up into the following sections which will include: - Image - Employ grids which utilise space for story boarding / thumbnails / logo drawing and notes - Type - Focus on producing grids that utilise space for drawing type and words. - Notes - Dates / Calendars, efficient space to write, Phonebook, tear out weekly calendars, page navigation. Other Considerations: - Which grid & layouts will allow your audience to create most effectively - Print Finishes – Embossing - Target Audience - Creatives - Graphic designers / illustrators / typographers - How will you sell them effectively using the website
Mandatory Requirements -
All three notebooks must aid the design process of the creatives using them. There must be a running theme through-out all three products Always consider the target audience
