InFINITY HELMET
SXSW ECO DESIGN FINALIST 2016
Infinity Helmet is a digital design fabrication process driven installation project for the PASO art festival in Taos NM. This student collaborative project developed as a communication/ kiosk for the participants to receive artist information and communicate with other helmets to provide a personal experience. The helmet is made of 1200 laser cut panels and 3D printed node and frame construction developed though grasshopper processing and connected to form a digital model. The model’s performance was tested at the festival and is a commendable example of digital fabrication using industrial standard machines.

Located in the centre New York, New York within the Lincoln centre plaza, the program consisted of a high class fashion runway complex in which fashion week could hold a range of Fashion events permanently. The strategic form would derive from a series of pleats and folds that would then shape structure as well as inform the particular events within the space, separating the dense city public while incorporating the Private vendor guests with Public display of high fashion.

PROF. PETER RAAB COMPREHENSIVE STUDIO 2015
Unique to its site, on the corner of River Road and 8th St. The “Hip Richard Boutique hotel” offers 20 rms to the best view in Austin. The double facade diagrid system, used for structural efficiency and environmental opportunity, mends a cultural language that responses to the Zeitgeist of the current market demographic of Austin (hipster). The formal connection to the creek becomes an icon for the Austin capitol view corridor while reactivating Waller creek with space for music, food and hospitality.

The tensioned celebration between the connection of Austin and the small garden park of Shoal creek on W 9th creates a plethora of senses, specifically to the touch: by allowing the site to influence specifically to the sense of touch, a haptic philological phenomena can occur for the user. From the multiple adjectives expressed by the site, the final two were chosen to be represented in the of gesture touch, this became anxious tranquillity. The transitioning cuts of limestone and ground surfaces develop the rhythmical release the tranquilly into an experience of smooth curvilinear surfaces that create separate circulatory experiences for the Spa and Residential user.
