VISUAL RESEARCH bot·tle –noun

1. a portable container for holding liquids, characteristically having a neck and mouth and made of glass or plastic. 2. the contents of such a container; as much as such a container contains: a bottle of wine. 3. bottled cow’s milk, milk formulas, or substitute mixtures given to infants instead of mother’s milk: raised on the bottle. 4. the bottle, intoxicating beverages; liquor: He became addicted to the bottle.

History: Humans have always looked for ways of transporting fresh water from its source. The Romans constructed aqueducts, a system to deliver water to the cities, and containers such as vase or animal skin to carry water. Especially during war time, and increase in outdoor activites, such as hiking and traveling long distances, other containers were made to transport water. In the beginning, water was sold in glass bottles. Plastic became popular after a highdensity polyethylene was introduced.

In 2008, Bisphenol-A, or BPA, a hazardous chemical was found in several water bottles, now some companies are promoting their containers BPA free.

Problem Solved: Stainless steel water bottles, unlike aluminum water bottles; it does not require a harmful chemical resin to prevent corrosion or have a sort of metallic after taste. Metal water bottles have been a trend, or a part of American culture, since the mas manufacture of these items, quite like the reusable tote bags at many grocery and retail stores. Metal bottles are reusable and they are free of any hazardous chemicals.
