PUBLISHING & EDITORIAL ST YLING This project attempts to decipher the process of editorial styling of a specific fashion magazine, while also understanding their visual identity and researching on the evolution of the magazine. We b a s e d t h i s p ro j e c t o n t h e fashion and lifestyle magazine Vo g u e S p a i n .
Vogue Spain reflects the authority & style of Spain. Lead by Eugenia de la Torriente the magazines language is elegant, colorful and powerful. I styled this shoot for the 2019 March issue with Dramatic colors of spring and classic silhouettes, maintaining Femininity in Masculine ensembles.

CONCEPTUALIZED ST YLING & PHOTOGRAPHY The project is a visual reference to the style of different periods i n f a s h i o n h i s t o r y. T h i s r e q u i r e s a greater understanding of the sub cultures and how can we modernize it to present times. This project was based on the Film Noir period of time with black and white thrillers being all the craze.
NOIR Noir is French for black and is a type of fiction or a film that has tough characters and is cynical, dramatic and pessimistic in nature. I was very inspired Marlene Dietrich who was known for her masculine and bold fashion sense.

CHARACTER ST YLING & PHOTOGRAPHY The goal of this project was to portray a character from any book or novel, solely based on personal interpretation gained by reading the book & avoiding any other rendition o f t h e c h a r a c t e r. The following shoot and styling is based on the 1951 coming of age story “the Catcher in the Rye� written by Frank Herbert.

CATCHER IN THE RYE The Catcher in the Rye details two days in the life of Holden Caulfield after he has been expelled from prep school. Confused and
disillusioned,
Holden
searches
for
truth against the “phoniness� of the adult world. Holden is portrayed as this tall six feet guy who is very thin due to smoking. I styled this look taking the cold weather, his depression and the stained lips due to excessive smoking into account.

characters involved in these scenes protagonist Paul Atreides both teen adult, Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam Chani, the love interest.

THE TEST To figure out if Paul Atreides is a human or not, the Mother Gaius Mohiam has him put his hand into a small painful box. In this scene he is a mature teen who bears through all the pain and passes the test.

SCENE 2
PAUL MEETS CHANI Paul Atreides now an adult found himselves in the deserts of Arrakis sheltering in a cave system from a sandworm, he was intercepted by a group of traveling Fremen, which included Chani. Her introduction to Paul came during a tense stand-off. Chani was familiar to the Atreides heir because of her appearance in his prescient visions prior to his arrival on Arrakis. But to her Paul was initially a stranger.
