Collage "Illustration-collage is a technique I am passionate about and use often," says Christian. “I design and create as a way to help people attempt self-realization in their own life as they draw conclusions centered around my illustrative collages. His technique is quite simple yet tedious. After coming up with a concept, Christian searches for found objects he can latter combine into a single illustration - such as this cuckoo clock. His entire work process takes about twelve hours to complete.

Finishing Touch When he places the final touch on each piece, it's time to photograph them to a two dimensional plane. Christian is able to do this in his at home studio. VoilĂ , a day in the life of Christian Roy. In some ways, his work is a fine line between Primitive and Neoexpressionist. Christian considers his work strong in concept, rough around the edges, and extremely decorative - all at the same time. His three dimensional work seems more child like, making a powerful impact on the eye. There is usually a strong concept behind the work which also makes it Neo-Expressionist.
