THE VENUE the Winter Gardens provides the perfect setting for an event of this stature. THE PRESENTERS Yet again the presenters showcased this year are among the best in the world and have travelled from as far a field as Slovenia, Japan, Russia, USA and beyond. they have been hand picked to provide you with the most amazing mix of styles, formats and personalities. home-grown talent is also comprehensively represented with top UK presenters plus companies such as Drummond education, escape Fitness, evolve Fitness training, Gravity, Modern Pilates, Multitrax, Premier training, PtS/nASM, Simone’s training Academy, Shokk, Stott Pilates, Urban Funk, Spinning/Startrac and humanSport. to support and nurture new talent in the industry we also have a stream of new presenters who will be showcasing their talents throughout the weekend.

THE TIMETABLE With over 245 sessions to choose from there is something to suit everyone’s needs. We suggest you study the programme on the centre pages very carefully (which is colour coded to help plan your weekend) and choose 3 sessions for each hour that you wish to take part. then carefully read and complete the enclosed Session Selection Sheet and return it to us as soon as possible. Remember, the sooner you return and we receive your completed form, the more likely you are to get your first choices!

TRADE SHOW Situated in the horseshoe area of the Winter Gardens will be the trade Show so get your credit cards out and your shopping shoes on. A multitude of companies will be exhibiting to provide you with retail therapy on clothing, music, education, workshops and tours, equipment, training courses, videos and books, mind body formats, alternative health, rehabilitation options and much more.

THE ORGANISERS the International Fitness Showcase is organised and run by Chrysalis Promotions Limited. the men behind this organisation are three active fitness presenters in their own right: Lincoln Bryden, Ceri hannan and Steve Watson. Between them they have over 60 years experience in the health & Fitness industry (Yes they really are that old!!!). nicky has a martial arts background in karate and kick boxing, she has been in the fitness industry for 10 years teaching a variety of classes.

Also known as ‘Mr Charisma’ Delvin is a well known Presenter of Masterclasses and Workshops Internationally and in the UK. At present Delvin is the UK and International Mastertrainer for the highly successful Keiser Studio Cycling Programme.

PETER DRAGOVIC Peter is a unique talent from Slovenia. he is an extremely creative presenter and uses his background in dance to make you move in ways you never thought possible. his sessions are definitely not to be missed.

FRANCO FERRARO SHINJI FUJINO

Franco was born in Italy, but now he lives in Germany. his extremely creative choreography for Dance, Step and Aerobic plus the well composed and easy to follow structures in his lessons have made him a well known and very popular presenter on the worldwide fitness scene.

Shinji is making his debut in the UK. he was Japan national Aerobic Championship 2005 Champion, and is a very popular presenter, with his athleticism and great teaching style.

Gilton has his own company: Groovy Sound Sensations, which includes: djaying, producing, presenting and the development and coordination of sport activities and music events. Besides presenting different types of workouts, he is active in school projects promoting the elements of dance and co-operation between children. he is also a choreographer for fashion shows and demonstration teams.

KYMBERLEE JAY Kymberlee is a hip hop/Funk Styles choreographer and dance performer based in London. Previous Credits include “take Sport Add Music” and “tell me I’m not an Athlete” advertising campaigns for nike europe as well as pop videos for Madonna with “hung Up” and “Sorry”.

STUART HARROP Stuart combines his ballroom dancing background and his flair for creating choreography to produce lavish and unique presentations. Always a huge favourite on the Fitness Weekenders for his user friendly style and outrageous personality, he provides you with a recipe you can’t fail to enjoy.

GARETH NOCK Gareth has been part of the fitness industry since 1997 and has achieved a wealth of experience in club and fitness management. he is currently a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, teaching at many health clubs in Berkshire. Gareth is also a tutor and presenter for Drummond education. Gareth’s talent has been recognised throughout the industry, having worked with Drummond education and technogym at various events and had the opportunity to teach group fitness abroad as well as in the UK.

GEORGE ANDERSON George runs personal training company Kinetic health and Fitness in Berkshire. he specialises in running training and is the fitness consultant to the Reading half Marathon, guiding thousands of runners each year through their training for the event. George runs workshops for trainers on kettlebells as well as other alternative strength training equipment. As Senior lecturer for Drummond education, he specialises in advanced resistance training, where his knowledge and experience of functional movement form the base of his teaching.

GLENN CRANHAM Glenn is a leading International presenter for Drummond education in personal training and group exercise. he has trained in various martial arts since the age of 6, competing at national level in several tournaments and fighting for the British Muay thai title at cruiserweight. With his unique approach to fitness training and his extensive knowledge he will deliver for you a fun and challenging workout.

Katy is a leading expert in the exercise and Fitness Industry, working as a Senior tutor for Drummond education. Cert ed, rSa/OCr TdLB 32/33/34 Lesley is the Group health Promotion Manager for nexus, a Leisure trust and works in partnership with Bucks and oxford Primary Care trust and to develop a health and physical activity strategy for the Wycombe, Chiltern, South Bucks and West oxford areas. this strategy includes initiating and developing the cardiac rehabilitation Phase IV and Phase III classes, exercise referral scheme and any health related activity for special populations. She has recently completed a secondment to lead the activity component of the euroAction Research Project in the UK based at Stoke Mandeville hospital. Lesley has developed training courses for exercise specialists and health professionals focusing on the health benefits of physical activity and is an internal verifier and assessor for CYQ and oCR exercise and Fitness courses. Lesley has worked as part of the development team of the BACR Phase IV Instructor training Module since its conception and is an internal verifier for the course. together with Gwen Strong she is a BACR regional course director for the thames Valley region. Cherry set up Modern Pilates in 2001 which has now become on of the UK’s most recognised Pilates training programmes.

originally from a dance background, Simone has been involved in the fitness industry for 22 years. each room has a stipulated capacity so we ask you to make your first, second and third choices in order of preference in case the session you choose has already been filled.

Tell us what these programs or policies have accomplished by virtue of their creativity, the diversity of markets they reach, and the impact they had on participation of active and under active individuals alike. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS To apply for The 3rd IFS Health And Fitness Award, please carefully follow these instructions. Each application is carefully reviewed, and any deviation from the instructions below may result in a disqualification.

1 Complete the application form (overleaf). 2 Submit no more than a 100 word summary of your three greatest measurable contributions to the fitness industry. Give specific examples, such as “raised club membership by 20%”, “increased class participation of a class by 25%” or “motivated 50 sedentary people to adopt an active lifestyle.”

3 Supply detailed answers to the criteria listed under the award you are applying for, limited to no more than four onesided typed (or computer generated) pages, using 12 point font size or larger.

4 Include a copy of your CV, not to exceed two pages. The CV should detail the number of years you’ve been in the business, the extent of your “hands on” training or teaching experience, the number of hours per week you spend training or teaching clients, your educational background and certifications you hold. 5 Supply two reference letters, one from a client and one from a professional colleague. 6 (Optional) Include up to three newspaper or magazine clippings about you and your program(s) or facility. Please photocopy them.
