Nostalgia
Only kids who grew up in the 2000s will remember what it felt like to collect silly bandz and play CDs and DVDs on their radio or box TV. They remember racing raindrops down windows, singing against the fan pretending it was auto tune. They remember racing scooters in the streets until the street lights came on and wearing Heelies indoors. And who could forget watching the original Disney Channel or Cartoon Network, playing on their DS, eating otter pops or saving money for the scholastic book fair. They remember being a child, in the early days when they did not have to grow up; now they have and are lucky to hold onto the memories.
Where Does The Time Go?

Sanyia Brown I love how we were all outside, and then when we were inside, TV was very different. It wasn't all about smart phones and Disney was actually still for kids and just was so natural to life. We were actually being kids and not on Facebook or Snapchat. [We were] just asking for sleepovers and watching TV together.
Makayla Goddard [I loved] being outside, playing with the neighbors until the streetlights came on and then going home to eat dinner and shower and go watch your favorite cartoons.
Brody Kuykendall [I remember] definitely all the TV shows during the early 2000s--there were some really great ones that I'm upset aren't on the air anymore.
Caroline Shatzer When I was in elementary school, I really loved the Scholastic book fair (do they still do those?) especially all the random stuff you could buy besides the books, like slap-bands and finger pointers.
Kyleigh Zenewicz The cartoons of the 2000s and the music are still a staple in my life today.
Andrew Swidler I remember I used to love Nickelodeon and Disney Channel growing up and just watching the shows with my friends--that s what I enjoyed most growing up in the early 2000s.

Senior Year Throwbacks

While this year may have been limited in what we could do, the seniors were still able to make memories that will last a lifetime.
