FACT 1: Jesus is coming again!

They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing here looking into the sky? Jesus, whom you saw taken up from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you saw him go.” (Acts 1:11 – New Century Version)

For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord's death until he comes again.

(1 Corinthians 11:26– New Living Translation)

FACT 2: No one knows when!

Now concerning that day or hour no one knows--neither the angels in heaven nor the Son — except the Father.

(Mark 13:32– Holman Christian Standard Bible)

There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. (Luke 21: 25-26)

EARTHQUAKES Many earthquakes occur each year, on average greater than 800,000, but most are small and not felt by humans. A severe earthquake, with a magnitude of greater than 8.0, can be expected every 8 to 10 years. But a significant number of smaller earthquakes, which are still capable of destruction, occur each year.

ECLIPSES Every 1000 years you have 840 partial eclipses, 791 annular eclipses, 635 total eclipses and 114 hybrid eclipses. That works out to 2-3 eclipses of all kinds each year, and about 2 total solar eclipses every 3 years.

HURRICANES On average, 10.1 named storms occur each season, with an average of 5.9 becoming hurricanes and 2.5 becoming major hurricanes (Category 3 or greater). The most active season was 2005, during which 28 tropical cyclones formed, of which a record 15 became hurricanes.

FACT 3: You must be ready!

You know very well that the day the Lord comes again will be a surprise, like a thief that comes in the night.

(1 Thessalonians 5:2– New Century Version)

Remember that Christ says, “When I come, it will surprise you like a thief! But God will bless you, if you are awake and ready. (Revelation 16:15– Contemporary English Version)
