THE COLONIZED LIGHTHOUSE This component of the project is built for the numerous amount of homeless people that live in tne area. The tower offers shelter for those in need and supplies them with the basic needs. This building is primarily divided into two typologies. The first one is composed by the rigid services for the people. Spaces to sleep and gather, complemented with medical aid facilities and psycological support. Apart from that these spaces are equipped with “secure drug use areas” with suppervision and control and entertainment zones to share and live in community. The second typology is a free space created by the structure in which people can build their own permanent shelter and colonize the space. The tower is in contant transformation and mutation, a reflection of peoples reality and their will to be better everyday.
