Project Description MLK STATION is located on Dallas Area Rapid Transit transportation rail green line. Facing toward the Fair park gives the community a good opportunity having aesthetics visual. By using the knowlege of hydrology intergrate with urban planning to show the vision of MLK TOD. Also show issues are happen now? what might happen in the future? As a future landscape architecture what I can do for it?

Site Analysis - the pipes will bring the wastewater toward the Trinity river and White Rock Creek - Lack of the drainage pipes could cause the ood in the area. Inlet Map
Lack of tree coverage and green spaces caused water stay on the surface longer time

- the ground water can become contaminated by high dense human activity in Dallas. These chemicals can enter the soil and rock, polluting the aquifer and eventually to the wells. (Source: EPA 2011)

Sheraton Hotel & Spa
locates on the entrance to the
Downtown Fort Worth and have good access to the water garden. However, the entrance to the hotel is lack of sense of place, and the hotel facade also is poorly design. The client wants us to design a attraction entrance and create a "place" to welcome the residnets.
Existing Conditions view to hotel, walls surround the hotel can not show teh characters of hotel and also disconnect to the Water Garden Shady entrance needs design to create welcome feeling and create more safety place for pedestrian Cars stop and disconnect pedestrian circulations

Concept Change the service road toward hotel, and wider side walk
To create a welcome arriving experience
Site locates in the entrance to Downtown Fort Worth city. It serves a ď€ rst image of downtown. The client want to create a unique icon for the hotel to present the image of Sheraton. From the site visiting and observation, the conicts between cars and pedestrians are issues and impact to the entraance to the Sheraton Hotel.
Building Enclose the space make this place become kind of sunken plaza

1.3 Sheraton Hotel & Spa
Design content: To respond current issues and the observation in site there are ideas when I design the space: (1)To open the entrance to create the welcome feeling, (2)To redesign building facet and open the front view towards water garden (3)increasing the efď€ ciency serve connection of cars and pedestrians.
Scale: 1"= 40'
Opp: Molly tour bus stop here can take visitors having a downtown tour. Proximity to downtown Fort Worth, Art district and the Stockyard is nice. And the walkable distance of the hotel is within the downtown area. Cons: The existing arrival at the hotel is constrained and uneventful, Second, the entrance to the hotel parking garage is limited to the arrival court location, so there are vehicular conicts. Third, the street in front of the arrival court, Commerce Street, is poorly lighted at night for pedestrians.

Existing circulation system is lacking continuity.
Trails link green infrustructure: Planned trails provide access to parks throughout the city and Village Creek riparian corridor. Circuits and connections affect specie survival •Nodes link corridors, Village Creek and tributaries, •providing resting places for animals and plant seeds. •Network circuitry affects dispersal of plant and animal species.
