WHAT
Cat City - Skyscraper
For the design, I kept many of the existing structure and try to transfrom it into different function. I divid the area by different zone, each zone will become a cube liked furniture piece. Each cube will provide more than one function. There will also have many path for the cats to pass.
Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated area in the world, and its lack of available sprawl space causes demand for dense, high-rise offices and housing. More people in Hong Kong live above the 14th floor than anywhere else on Earth, making it the world’s most vertical city. The average apartment size in Hong Kong being 55m2 , the maximization and flexibility of the available space becomes of the frist importance. In this project, Interior design should be seen as the mediator between the body and the city.

WHAT
SOUL CITY
Library is a public facility/space that has a high utility rate. Library should not be only a books collection centre, but also a multimedia information centre and to bear the mission of spreading the cultural activities. When the information spreads quicker and broader, the cultural activities will flourish. Thus, I am going to design a library which can cultivate culture, gather and spread information and knowledge.
WHERE
DESIGN STATGIES
I am going to design a “Library in the Park next to Yuet Wah Street, Kwun Tong. The design is in 2 parts: the park side and the former bus stop side.
PLAN
FORMATION
The design of former bus stop side consists of two parts: one is the main building of the library and one is the garden. The library has 2 levels and the garden contains 6 rooms. They are AV rooms, computer rooms, tuck shop, auditorium and movie centre. The design also provide a new short cut which make the circulation more direct. People can pass through the building and reach MTR station quicker.
WHAT
PET CLINIC
DESIGN STRATEGIES
FACE TO PUBLIC To promote the importance of bring the pet to the clinic for body checking, the ways is to let the clinic be more open and like a community centre for pets and their owner.
Nowadays, most of the pet clinic is very enclose and isolate with the district, which they are very private and down really welcome for public. In this project, I was asked to design a pet clinic in the origanal structure of a building.
In the design, I wont try to open some wall to let it be more public and connect the building with the use of garden as a core part for gathering.
The original building is located in Japan which is like a apartment seperated into 3 building. It is surrounded by other apartment which is the strength for it to become a community centre liked pet clinic.
CONCEPT IDEA
One of my concept is come from a cases of the pet. The case is in 3 dimensional and it is easy to transfrom to any device for the interior.
DESIGN METHODS
The way to connect the building and the garden is try to use the same method to treat them. I tried to connect them by a cases liked grid element with many function on it.
By using a grid system with a case. The design can be more functional and logical.

FINAL DESIGN
Ms. Yip Kit Fong
The trip to the mainland was an eye-opening experience for everybody. We got to see some of China’s most rapidly developing areas, and took in some Chinese culture. We also were able to do primary research on the aging population. Our team met with elderly from two different elderly homes and an elderly university in GuangZhou. We were able to conduct interviews with the residents that would later help us come up with an appropriate design solution.
• Age 65 • Lives in Sha Tin with her daughter • Suffers from heart disease, high blood pressure, a hip problem and shortage of breath • Covers the furniture with towels and T-shirts to prevent dust
Mr. Tong Chow • Age 79 • Lives in a spacious with his wife and maid • A very organized person • Can use multiple technology • Always tries to figure out a solution to using technology by himself

We named our cart the Good Look because ‘luk(轆)’ in Cantonese means wheel, so the name takes on two different meanings depending on which language is used. We wanted to appeal to native Cantonese speakers but also hint at the multicultural nature of the design team who created the cart.
The Good Look cart expands upon the tranditional shopping cart to become an all purpose cart that can be used in a variety of contexts, whether it be the market, the university, or around the home.
ANALYSIS
The cart allows for the user to customize their own cart with different styles of bags that can be attached and taken off easily
We concluded that all of our insights could be grouped into four main behavior patterns
Preserving Memories
DEVELO -PMENT
Maintaining Wellness
Controlling Environment
Retaining Membership
A pedometer in the handle of the cart shows the user how much they have walked in a given day which encourages the user to stay active.
The bags are constructed of waterproof fabric which keeps the user’s goods safe from the elements and allows the bags to be washed easily
FEATURE
The Good Look was designed to assist the user in their daily activities and to be easily stored in the home. With the bags detached, the cart is able to fold down into a much smaller size allowing it to be stored easily in the home when not in use.
The cart’s large wheels allow it to go over bumpy sidewalks and up curbs
The cart is stable enough to support the weight of its user, allowing for the user to lean on the cart for rest. The handle folds down providing a perch for the user to lean on.
The bags are attached to the cart using a series of hooks. The bags are detachable so that the user may wash them easily. When unattached, the bags can be used alone

ROLL THE DICE!!
This project is going to make a urban shelter for myself to live in the city. The most important things I have to concern is the weight of it. It is because the shelter should be portable, so that it have to be low weight and easy to carry. Another things is the human scale and the usage of it. What I have to do is to make it from follow function.

ARM BRIDGE
Po Chue Tam have a special landscape. The feature of stilt houses, Yeung Hau Temple, mangroves area, barbecue site, etc. attracted a lot of people to visit. For this, the objective of the design is to connect the barbecue site and the mangroves area by expanding the green area. The design concept of ARM BRIDGE is come from “garden”. It merge into the landscape by using the nature material. The midspan can be swing to open and close just like an arm. When the bridge is separated, it create small parks in both side of the coast for people to relax. The ARM BRIDGE keeps the original feeling of the Po Chue Tam and provides a public space for enjoy the nature landscape.
ISLAND BRIDGE 盬田橋島
大澳‧水都雙橋 TAI O TWIN BRIDGE
A bridge may not be only for transportation, but also as a platform to connect the people from two sides. The concept of the ISLAND BRIDGE is come from “island”. Island is used to create a node and to improve the function of the bridge. It allow different kinds of activities to happen. People can play with water, enjoy the sunset, taking picture, etc. while not blocking the pedestrian route. It can disperse the crowd. The bridge adopted Tai-O traditional stilt house’s construction method. Midspan can be opened by the double layers track. This method can avoid blocking the view. The ISLAND BRIDGE is give a new experience to people to explore Tai-O.
