Welcome to our latest brochure, which is full of thrilling shows for the spring season. Highlights include the launch of the “breath-taking” Titanic the Musical before it sets sail on a national tour. Stephen Daldry’s multi-award winning An Inspector Calls returns to the Churchill stage in March, with more plays to follow, courtesy of Abigail’s Party and Wodehouse in Wonderland. May sees two smash-hit musicals in the programme. We are excited to premiere Greatest Days, the official Take That musical, and for the first time in Bromley The Bodyguard, the spectacular romantic thriller starring Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton
Whatever tempts you this season, we look forward to welcoming you to your local theatre, which brings the West End – and more – to your doorstep!
We are continuing to do everything we should to make your visit safe, comfortable and enjoyable. Please check churchilltheatre.co.uk for the most-up-to-date safety information prior to your visit.
Written by Willy Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences.
Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multiaward winning Blood Brothers. Bill Kenwright’s production surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone. It has been affectionately christened the ‘Standing Ovation Musical’, as inevitably it “brings the audience cheering to its feet and roaring its approval” (The Daily Mail).
The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.

Stephen Daldry’s multi award-winning National Theatre production of JB Priestley’s classic thriller returns. When Darkness Falls is a spine-chilling ghost story that delivers a twisted, terrifying and thrilling tale that will “leave you cowering in your seat.” (The Guardian)
On a stormy night on the small island of Guernsey, a young paranormal expert joins a skeptical history teacher to record the first in a series of podcasts based on the island’s incredible folklore and paranormal history. As the expert regales his horrifying stories, the teacher learns that we all have our own truth. Our own story. Ghosts that haunt us. That bring the past, present and future together in unexpected ways. Ways that can threaten to unsettle everything we think we know.
Inspired by true events, this powerful new production by James Milton and Paul Morrissey draws us into dark pasts, reveals disturbing truths and explores the power of stories. Perhaps most importantly, the ones we tell ourselves.

WWOS Musical Theatre returns to the Churchill Theatre to present the ultimate fairy tale musical for young and old –Shrek The Musical.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure that brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage, and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears.
“Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek…” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude, and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero.
Luckily, there’s one on hand…a big green ogre who goes by the name of Shrek. Irreverently fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.
