ABOUT ME Not just a designer, not just create. Sustainable, interactive and functional is the primary structure how I understand landscape architecture. I was studying the bachelor of environmental design when I was in college of Luxun Academy Of Fine Arts, and it was more likely a subject compound of art, interior design, and landscape architecture. At that moment, I realized I am excited to be a landscape architect in the future. Because landscape architecture is not only about the landscape and architecture, but it’s also about nature, society, culture, economics, development, even the future of human being. The most exciting part is there are many roles that a landscape architect could play. We could play a role as a social agency with social concern and humanity. We could play an artist to create the atheistic value for public. We could also be an intervention, connection, a solution. Therefore, I am passionate and motivated in this profession, especially finish the study from a master of landscape architecture in RMIT. There I got more opportunities to optimize my skills, such as I got graphics, software skill, drawing and crafting better. And I learned more professional and critical way to think how to connect a public realm with its surrounding, how to organize a master plan for an urban and how to revive an abandoned area. Eventually, the most important are that I need clear who is the real users. Now I need to contribute the abilities that I learned from Uni into the workplace. I am well prepared and ready for a job to challenge and practice.

RECLAIM LATROBE VALLEY COAL MINE
LATROBE VALLEY COAL MINE: There are three open cut brown coal mines in the Latrobe Valley which are due to be closed in the next 20-30 years. Upon closure, these site are required by law to be rehabilitated. This dentoes restoring land to its previous use, which is vastly different to the condition subjected by 30 to 80 years of excavation.
