Mystify Contemporary - Design III: Venecular Working Achieve | 2015-2019
Instructors: Nuno Sousa
In term of architecture Mystify Contemporary is a blog of everything that makes the city a space for people. By studying the behavior pattern of Anhui ’s people as being a social group which separated into local community and tourism since the area become the UNESCO ‘s world heritage. As the site located in dense area between valley, most of the local people have been confronted with a lack of privacy as a noise pollution caused by tourist and living in uncomfortable situation as tourist are the creation of conflict system. The objective of “mystify” strategy aims to reorganize the social interaction in between the inhabitants and tourism in order to advise dweller to having a good coexisting environment between each other by merging existing local area with host house for tourism. To design the basic interaction devolved to further interaction with local, is to reorganizing the space as a maze-like within street pattern as main concept of circulation which can only understand by local people. In the same way, it will force tourists to explore the space by themselves or making a conversation with local. Emphasis on open space to be a connection between each program in order to set up a criteria of the space.

According to the studies of Anhui’s architectural style, the layout of the house is in 3jian(house) theory and each room is deepper than its wide. The living space aline with heaven direction in between each zone there are tianjing or skywell with slope roof eaves on top to collect rainwater in the courtyard before draining outside which express the hope that good fortune will not flow out of the house and also catching passing breezes and clear interior heat in side the house.
3
Venecular Architecture
The design proposal is creating a new system to the whole habitat by using grid system to create patterns; setting criteria by using open space as a connection between social program and living space. Following by the pattern rules; 1.courtyard surrounded by circulation 2. Having an inner courtyard between to unit in order to create an interaction in outer and inner space.
4
Working Achieve | 2015-2019
Mystify Comtemporary
The overall space was divided into 3 levels of interaction in an offset manner from the lower to the upper core, where the top level of interaction is more privacy for local community with small temporarily area for tourists to visit then the program is gradually change to less private community. The 3 mains corrupting system that used to imply different levels of privacy are shared courtyard, public corridor and shared room. From the most open area to the room with limited of boundary.

Furthermore, there are spaces in between that provide the variation within the space such as tea room, green space for trees, shared courtyard and small canal for water circulation which serve individual housing.

On ground level part also playing with the materiality delimitation zone, 3 differents material for flooring which link to the program of the inhabitants including pathway; there are special pathway material for only local know reach to local community area and these ideas also be inside the habitat act as a guiding circulation. Water system is another significant factor, to merge a perfect interaction as people need water therefore the center pond become magnanimous spot of social interest and merging society area reaching by follow to water canal between the alley. The proposed strategy, are reflected in the creation of interdependence within the habitats and create contemporary merging community in a unique fascinating pattern along with circulation to figure out. This place is complicated, not only in form but in touch and mysterious beyond the boundary.

In-Betweeness - Design IV: Ur-breeds Working Achieve | 2015-2019
Instructors: Thomas Lozada
In-Betweeness “The empty space between two extremes, two contrasting conditions in rural society: In-betweenness” “Adaptation as bridging” In-Betweenness equal less distant, in general the gap between thing is an empty space, these idea are explored in soi Ruamruedi context of Ploenchit. Where two extreme class of people are breathing in the same area and their routine coexists, consequently both upper and lower class have an opportunity to contribute and collaborate with each other. Exploring how architecture can establish a concept of non-space to form a ‘re-connecting’ people, with architecture incorporate with existing infrastructure in order to embrace people to interact and feel the value of relationship in between their community.

The main proposal of the design is to merge an extraordinary differentiating of society in the range which obvious happen in between the upper infrastructure level and local street life. In order to reducing the division between on the upper level and what underneath to grow the exchange routine and growing the relationship of the user which are people who walk pass by through the walkway and local people who live underneath the walkway. Through a device in relationship between existing and unused development will emerge to the plan by utilizing the concept of parasitic design and the space between structure. Using architecture as mean of altering perception of people and connectivity in between space and interconnection, generating a new closely community without social stratification. With natural condition in the site which is the water canal so, the device connect people to nature as generating the quality of water.

Ploenchit Urban Area
Working Achieve | 2015-2019
Ploenchit Urban Area - ARCH URBAN -
Instructors: Supaporn Vithayathawornwong Ploenchit is known to be an already highly developed area in which contains high-end malls, offices, and condominiums. The project highlights on the new residential estate: with its approach would mean increase in users that will be in the area at night after office hours. The new program should operate not only at normal opening and closing time, but extend its operating hours so that there is an activity for night time potential users. In target groups, meaning that the activity could shift as the operating hour changes. Due to the day time users being employees and partly area inhabitants, they are likely to use the program in a rush. On the other hand, night users being inhabitants, tourists and some employees might use the program in a more relaxed way.
19
Although the activities and user group differs, the site is still the same, meaning that it is in a high-end area with pricey malls and leisure could be costly. To analyse, employees in the area does not contain only office workers and users with purchasing power, but also have those who are service workers such as guards, maids, or even office workers that may have a hard time paying for costly meals every day. Thus, the activities in the program would not be pricey, more like a day-to-day food along-side walking markets. Ploenchit is already crowded with buildings developing that it leaves no space. An alternative is to a secondary walkway, just like the skywalk that already exists in the area. The new program will have the new structure built as an extension from the existing structure. This way, the program gets shade from the BTS structure, is elevated from the heat caused by cars, is also linked to areas with users, like BTS and other buildings in the area. Furthermore, users may find it more convenient to reach the program if it is not on the street level, especially at night when building closes and the grounds may be dangerous. The new program should have stalls, seats, tables, bars, and large pathway for users to not feel crowded. The day and night program will use the same existing items, but just switch what they sell. In conclusion, the opening of Noble Ploenchit gives way for a gap in the market in the area, however leads to potential program and structure that does not exist yet in Ploenchit and may idealize with users that does not have the purchasing power to find leisure in this highend area of Bangkok.

Inside-out office building
Inside-out Office Building Working Achieve | 2015-2019
-Environmental Technology and Integrative Building Systems Design I Instructors: Scott Drake
For this project I selected a space from the Inside-out office building, I studied in the structure of the building and the services project of around 50-200 square metres in specific interior. The interior design of the space defined working area such as meeting room, board room, classroom, or office area suitable for around 10-20 people. With the detail and specify furniture and fittings for the space, such as tables, chairs, workstations, partitions, floor finishes, lighting, ceiling or acoustic panels, AV equipment, and controls (switches). Which I studied and calculate them in the real industrial calculation format by the area of the existing space. In order to do this I had contact manufacturers and suppliers in Thailand to obtain specifications and quotations.

INSIDE OUT OFFICE BUILDING Aims to set new standards for bio-climatic work environments. The building’s layout revolves around the idea of flexible workspaces, integrating landscape into the building as an eco-conscious approach. The organization of the building has been reversed, with the circulation passages typically at the center moved to the facades to free up central space.

- École nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris-Belleville Exchange Program
Instructors: Solenn Guevel The site is primarily an education zone, there are many schools and in the upper part is a residential area and various facilities. According to the analysis, there are two traffic points in this area. They are at the point of intersection between the railway and the little river. Percentage of area 38% of the education zone, 22% of the residential zone and 40% of the activity zone and infrastructures Main point of the region : Aims to connect the community of four schools together. : The site includes an educational space, an infrastructure and the little answer. : Spread more water in the community and use the school. : infrastructure and small response separated the area of the site Intersection of existing elements (railway-The little answer). Makes the area disconnected and traffic is limited. The railway makes the separation between 2 the education sector and small rosette also separate the education sector and the residential sector. TOLERANT ROOM The diversity in the scale of open space in the park allows for a variety of sharing activities for different users.
29
TOPOGRAPHIC FACTOR The site is sloping. This means that buildings never end in the immediate environment. Transform the existing sloping topography of the site into a terrace. Act as a platform / lane offering a variety of viewpoints and activities. The upper part is a residential area and serves as a window for parents to look after their children.

The new design facilities are located along a large ring around the area. The ring is a simple and comfortable walking route that allows users to experience different installations. : Connect 4 schools together to share an activity in the design of the education and the playground The design aims to reconnect the area and create an education zone for the children as the area lacks a playground. The design has a footbridge running through the railway and the small street rosins the level of the footbridge from top to bottom with reference to the urban situation of the site. And it also acts as a trail link on the railroad to reach the other side. The design is to be done in a loop to create an endless circulation. The inner part of the design is a learning center that brings children together to learn together. In the central part, you will find an artificial topography for children. In this case, the design can consist of improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the region and creating a new level of interaction between human, non-human resources and infrastructure.
31
Exchange Program
The project aims to connect four schools and allow children to learn more to help the community (reuse of equipment and water). The design is composed of three parts linking the sky path, the learning center, the ecological station, the sports area, the playground and the water restoration. The project is creating public infrastructure as well as new public spaces. The structure crosses a building, roads and railways to allow the school to reconnect in the Sarcelles area. The bright yellow wooden structure is raised above ground level by an entire floor, creating an uninterrupted pedestrian walkway and endless traffic. It also connects a series of individual public parks and public spaces. Linking both the railroad and the Sarcelles tram lines, as well as the nearby railway, it reconnects four schools that previously were very difficult to walk. The yellow paint was used to give the project a clear and recordable visual identity for the children. Beyond the bridge, paint was also applied to walkways to extend the route or to reach the school. Other public spaces created as part of the project include an ecological resort, a learning center, a basketball court, water restoration and a playground.

The ecological station is connected to the infrastructure, it links the ecological station to the infrastructure. The design on both sides of the hole is to allow people to learn how to prepare separately The Learning Center surrounds the infrastructure and the area under the infrastructure with a small path along the river. And the activity going on inside and outside the learning center. The basketball court create the underlying space to serve as a sports field for children. And it also allows people in the building to see their children play The playground is connected to the surrounding school and links the school to the playground. The central hole in the ring allows people to see the children playing downstairs. The water restoration section shows how the project works with the water supply system and reuses the rainwater in the design. It can be restored to be used for aggregation and also allows children to learn how to reuse water in a natural way So the design is becoming more like an education zone for kids to learn to help the community. It also creates a useful path between the public area and the residential area. This can be a path for children who 34Create a have a connection to their home. new public space for all the inhabitants of the region.

super-synthetic description “POLLERA” On Bodies, Spaces and Identity The main focusing topic I’m working with is exploring the movement of human body with dancing equipment in order to push the boundaries of visual art communication on bodies, space and identity. In the context of La Paz, Bolivia where cable car is the main transportation due to the landscape that surrounded by mountains and full of strong traditional culture which I mainly focus on Female society. By collecting all the information in the spinning wheel and dig more in specific detail about them (Slide: diagram)As Bolivia belief in Pachamama which is the mother of earth and the Chacha warmi or the concept of “completion” Explore more about female in the city and female character in the Grand Poder which is Cholitas and China Supay China Supay is the main character in the Diablada, one of the Parade in the Gran Poder. Who is the female character that is the wife of the main character(Lucifer) and this shows how important the female is in order to complete the story in the parade since most of the characters in the parade are male character. Cholitas is come from the world “Chola” which mean women,“Cholitas” is local women who wear their traditional costume dress called “pollera” everywhere (S: Punch)and these women faced to the inequality of female gender people are act to others differently just because of their gender, Female are oppressed by others and that’s what happens in La Paz, Bolivia.(S: Gif) But Cholitas show their strong part by forming a team called Cholitas wrestling which show that women can do anything that men can do So the proposal of the project is to empower the Cholitas 35

The symbolic Impacts, I created a Performance as costume props extension. Working with the movement of the human body with dancing equipment. Building costumes that allowed for the object to stretch out from the joint of the human body. Wearing, moving with this object in an attempt to “Explore the balance between body movement and specific object, in order to represent and be blend in with the context of the city” In this case, I study about Yaowarat (China town) in Bangkok with foldable costume props in lantern form which allow the observer to see it as a metaphor as a sign of police in the context. So, you can see me wearing a prop trying to blend in.
Throughout that studies I came up with the idea of exploring Bolivia in a specific topic which is “Cholitas” and how to empower the female society with the Chacha warmi belief (or the concept of completion between men and women) With that aspect, I think it’s a good opportunity to create Training and Design school for Cholitas within the exhibition space essential to women rights and empower cholitas generation in the society with all the system run by cholitas where women have the right to do things ;in being female are played out suggests a narrative for all women against the social structure in La Paz. A place Cholitas can train and prove the empowerment of women and show off to the world how strong women are. And also teaching how to produce a cholitas costume as nowadays costume become iconic Fashion that can gain the economic in La Paz, Cholitas fashion show The interactive and explorable space is folding fabric-like of sexual freedom which circulation defined by using the concept of skirt movement layering to separate the space. The public circulation runs around the space by the elevated pathway to connect the entire space which linked to the cable car station and plug in to the space as well and there are also a member access staircase which can access from each column of the space. The space is formed by collection of light fabric room connected. Overall space lift up from the ground level to create as a skirt-like structure merging by the column as well, Changing the aspect of people to see female in a higher position and allowing passage underneath as well.

The volume of the design separated by corridor and through the layer of fabric partition. The level of each space has a connection path for people to walk space to space, each space have level of platform to connect with the pathway as well and framed by a steel skeleton enclosed by a colorful fabric. Each pollera shape concept come from layer of the skirt and cholitas movement Abstract the shape from the form of the skirt and study how the layer of the skirt can be adapted into the concept of flooring and level inside the space All covered by layers of fabric that is used in cholitas costume and study about cholitas’s movement and distort those movement to be the shape of the space and column as well In the corridor both on ground level and elevated pathway I playing with Chachawarmi concept of completion

- Design&Build: Space Saloon Instructors: Kyle May Architect
PROJECT INFORMATION Extent is an installation that explores the spatial and visual limits of its environment. This hyper-programmed structure sits in the subtle landscape of Morongo Valley, California, gently landing among a field of sharp and prickly high-desert cacti. Suspended between two parallel walls, each measuring 60 feet long and 12 feet tall, are a series of platforms enabling activities of rest, viewing, and play. Extent performs as an instrument that is in constant dialogue with its context, reciprocally imprinting on and projecting to the site. The gridded bays capture, orient, and frame space in and around the surrounding canyon in an attempt to provide an exploratory base for future expeditions.

Ghost House
Ghost House Working Achieve | 2015-2019
- Design&Build: Space Saloon Instructors: I Stiffen Thee
PROJECT INFORMATION Ghost House is an experiment in material manipulation. Its form, created by suspending two glue-soaked canvas sheets over a matching pair of cubic structures, is directly dependent on the environment. The project site was chosen by studying wind patterns at various hyper-specific locations within Southern California’s high-desert. Over the course of a few hours, after its initial installation, the canvas froze into position, capturing a three dimensional snapshot of a specific moment in time. Its outline and punctured apertures create the formal memory of a house. However, once inside, all references fade away as the landscape beyond is quietly framed through the crisp portals. It is an improbable structure; the representation of the past existing in the present--neither here nor there; the ghost of a house.

Ban Bat Gate Working Achieve | 2015-2019
- Design&Build: Space Saloon -
Instructors: Gianmaria Socci & Rebecca Van Beeck
The Ban Bat community in Bangkok is one of the oldest and best known urban OTOP in the capital (One Tambon - province - One Product). For more than a century residents have been producing monk’s bowls following the methods inherited from the Buddhist tradition: the entire process is carried out by hand and the craft is transmitted through generations. As cheaper, industrial bowls from China are overtaking the everyday market, Ban Bat’s residents are struggling to reinvent their economy, catering to local and foreign tourism in order to preserve their traditions and identity while upgrading their precarious living conditions. This pilot project creates a new entrance gate to the main Soi. This public space provides shade, greenery and simple urban furniture, a space of rest for locals and visitors alike. A large mural, as well as detailed panels, introduce visitors to the history of the community and the process of bat-making while facilitating their navigation with the aid of clear maps and legends. The main structure is inspired by the metal-working techniques of the local artisans which allowed for their direct involvement in the construction process and ensure ease of maintenance with the community’s own resources. Special construction details have been developed in collaboration with Bangkok-based StudioMake to teach the students simple metal-work procedures, involving everyone in the construction while maintaining a safe margin of control on the precision of execution. In particular, a plug-weld joint connects all the main pieces together, avoiding the need for neat surface welds. 51

CU Bike - Design&Build: CU Bike Instructors: Leonid Slonimskiy & Artem Kitaev
The main color concept that our project revolves around is inspired by the traditionality that is present in almost every aspect of Thai culture. The red tone that we had chosen comes from traditional thai houses and temples that had been used since ancient times till today. The traditionality that we had chosen aims to localise and represent the long Thai culture. Our workshop also aims to combine social activities with sports, making us choose contrasting lightings as our approach. The golden mesh conveys a sense of posh and how our workshop is not ordinary but instead a unique space that had been carefully designed for its purpose. What’s more, we also played with the use of unique precise geometries such as the circle. Where the circular island that is located in the middle of our shop’s addition is aimed to create a signature and image for guests to remember about our workshop. Furthermore, in order to create an illusion to accommodate our rather small space, we Used large circular mirrors within the space to make the space seem larger and more appealing. Last but not least, we also have greenery within our space, to support global warming activities and also create a soothing atmosphere for our customers.

The current condition is more like an abandon dirty chamber which is filled with a lot of garbage.. The current design is kind of chinese style with door, partition, and the wall with holed blocks in front of the toilets. The whole space is considered as one space because there is no opaque wall to be divider. But we can basically divided it into 3 minor space by the set of column and beam. And each of them got a door that can be opened to the facade.
Branding ‘CU Bike’ As we need to create our own design of the bicycle workshop, we need to have our footprint being expressed through the logo first. So, we held a competition to let our team compete with each other for the best logo. In the end, the design of the final logo is being combined by every significant part of the logo our team submitted. We also think about the name of our workshop which there were many interested one but we use the voting system and the majority pick the ‘CU Bike’ And the winner of logo competition goes to “Chutimon Suetragulwong’s logo”

Intern with CHU Modern Company - Professional Experience Founder: Ms. Supaporn Vittaykankovit
Professional experience as an internship with CHU Modern, constructing glass and aluminium company. I have been assigned to work on outline client design objective along with conceptualize the design with sources of materials and products included in the project. Moreover, I also created ‘mood board’ to sample the design vision to the custumer and I have been checking the design construction onsite with the engineer on renovating a town house project. Working in the real world was very constructive for me, as I was involved in meetings with structural engineers. I found all the placements insightful and beneficial, and they improved my understanding and technical ability when it came to sketching and designing. I’ve learned that no successful project emerges from a singular idea or a person. Rather, it broad correspondence with a group of specialists, contractual workers, experts, and the skilled workers who work on a structure to accomplish the best conceivable impact. Gaining from the aggregate ability of my team has not only illustrated how each project involves more than simply designing a building, however, it has also additionally exhibited how making and dealing with a development venture is logical, organized, and defined.
