“The

world is a huge machine, and each different element is like a gear.

Foreword

Content

The world is a huge machine, and each different element is like a gear. Everytime after a certain period of time, the gears need to be reviewed in this changing world.I think landscape architecture designers are just like earth engineers. To constantly seek the balance between different gears to make the "machine" run better.

01 Roller coaster

In this portfolio, I try to explore the issues that have been revealed and are being revealed, reinterpret them from different perspective of time and space.

03 Reshape 2005

I selected 4 different issues, and tried to analyze and re-interpret some of them, in order to propose ways to update and upgrade the elements, so that the problems can be reduced and the machine can work better. 2

01 Roller Coaster A future market Site:Harvey , Illinois , United States Type:Academic ,2 persons‘ team work (revised to individual work in 10/2019) Advisor:BeiShiyu (sbei@risd.edu) Date:09/2019 Role:Chief designer Area:2ha Competition: Upcycling Retail:Changing the future of marketplaces won Organizer's Choice Award(top4) Link:https://competitions.uni.xyz/upcycling-retail/entries/results Key words : public space’s renew, traditional industry On-line retailing now facilitates the convenience of a single purpose to capture the offline retail market, this program intends to break the linear experience of existing retail space by combining the circular structure of the playground with the space structure of the event venue. The use of roller coaster tracks and mobile shelves allows for a more flexible retail space that is more flexible to follow the seasonal activities and needs to change the landscape and provide more job opportunities. The flexible space meets the desire to introduce more diverse activities and entertainment experiences to guide the crowd to the retail space, rather than simply purchasing it. In addition, the North and South Corridor communion North Park and the Southern Open Space provide a better space for future development.

02 Hanging Garden A city island Site:Jingan Distrct , Shanghai , China Type:Academic , solo Advisors:JiangHao(hao.jiang@aecom.com) ZhangWen (Wzhang@alumni.upenn.edu) Date:07/2019 Area:8ha Key words : negative product of urban development, over control Nowadays, urban transportation is developed, and the viaducts has become a common element of human daily traffic. It has “occupied” too much of human daily space. In the big city of Shanghai, for example, the dense viaduct network surrounds the entire city, and it is easy to give people too much depressing emotions. As an accessory to human development, the viaduct network seems to be gradually dominating urban development, and humans have been “controlled” . This project aims to weaken the pollution and negative impacts of the viaduct by establishing a frame that encloses the viaduct, and to establish an activity platform that connects the four sites to increase the space and spatial hierarchy of human activities. Turn negative space into positive space and create an urban green island to let humans regain control.

03 Reshape 2005 A mine regreen plan Site:Fujian , China Type:Academic , solo Advisor:Ji Hongfei (hji@looklandscape.com) Date:10/2019 Area:520ha

Until 2019, there were still many illegal mines existing in fujian Province. After the mine was hollowed out, it was ignored.

26 26

Key words:extraction, man-made destruction, abandoned brownfield The site is located in Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, China. People illegally quarryed in the mountain area, causing vegetation deforestation and soil destruction. Until 2019, the forest biocoenosis surrounded by the mining area was almost completely broken with the surrounding forest. As a result, the ecosystem is unable to exchange energy and substances normally, and the migration route of birds is blocked. In addition, the site is located in the subtropical maritime monsoon climate region, with an average annual rainfall of 1000-1900 mm. In this area the exposed soil and water loss is serious, and even natural lakes and pits become mud lakes. This project is based on the original intention of restoring the original forest appearance, using minimal human intervention to carry out the re-greening plan for the damaged mountain.

Site:New Orleans , United States Type:Academic , 3 persons' teamwork (revised to individual work in 09/2019) Role:Chief designer,Team leader Advisor:Bei Shiyu (sbei@risd.edu) Date:08/2019 Area:1326ha Key words:future issue, human survival In recent years, extreme disasters have occurred our planet began to be more and more destabilising. In order to study ways to deal with environmental crises, this project takes the exploration of shelters as the entry point, selects New Orleans as the project site, and studies the problems of sea level rise and extreme disasters, and can also carry out residents' activities and bring economic benefits in daily time. Floating refuge. The project is located in the northern lake of New Orleans. It does not occupy urban land on a daily basis. It is divided into two groups: shelte-public open space (15m*15m*15m)and water flow intensity reduction-fish culture (10m*10m*10m). The arrangement of the modules is divided into two modes: daily and refuge. The overall module is designed with the most stable equilateral triangles and will be made using a new type of continuous and recyclable tough material. The refuge module has enough storage space, and when the disaster strikes, people fold the module and gather it for refuge. The mitigation waterflow module can be used to harvest the landscape and use it as a material in addition to aquaculture and fishery.

Shot in Shanghai 01/2019 "The significance of travel is to put a person in a changing environment, let him go with countless or far-reaching people, and let him have a relationship with the whole world." I like to use my phone to keep track of where I've been. Compared with the camera, phone photography can record more conveniently.
