For the first time at a CIAT conference, two technical specialists participated

virtually, delivering presentations and interacting with other delegates during the subsequent discussion periods. Mr. Dino Iliopoulos and Ms. Jane Stalker of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) shared their expertise regarding Risk Analysis and Audit Software Tools and Audit of the Mining Industry respectively, and Ms. Stalker was joined by Mr. Oliver Rogerson, Chief Economist, for the discussion portion of her sub-topic. Using technology to link Ottawa live with the United Nations compound in Nairobi, across seven time zones and 12,000 kilometres, allowed the CRA to enhance its participation in the conference in a cost effective way.
