From November 11 to 25, the fourth pilot evaluation to test the Tax Administrations
Object 1
Diagnosis Assessment Tool (TADAT) was held at the State Secretariat of Taxation (SET, for its acronym in Spanish) of Paraguay. TADAT evaluates in an objective and standardized way the performance of the tax administration of a country, helping them to identify their strengths and weaknesses. It also facilitates the support of various interested parties (authorities, international organizations, donors and technical assistance providers) with the establishment of a reform agenda and the subsequent monitoring and evaluation of its progress. This is the first time TADAT is tested in a Latin American country. Previously, the tool has been tested in Zambia, South Africa and Norway. On this occasion, the joint mission was formed by Mrs. Enrique Rojas of the IMF (Head of Mission), Frode Lindseth and Maimbo Nyanga of the TADAT Secretariat, Miguel Pecho of CIAT, and Daniel Alvarez of the World Bank.
