He was born in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil, on December 11, 1956. Mr. Verdi is an economist and career tax auditor in the “Secretaria da Receita Federal de Brasil”. He has been married for 35 years to architect

At that time, the Executive Council invited him to take over the CIAT Operations' Directorate, the area in charge of the international cooperation and assistance in the agency.
