Hello, my name is Cicilia Ayu. I’m a Surface Pattern & Textile Designer and also plant entusiast from Indonesia. My style is heavily inspired by plants and nature around me. These are pattern design that I made over the past 2 years. I gathered them into some mini collections and full collections accordingly. I made mock ups in every col lections to display how are they going to look in various products like fabrics, garments, stationany, shoes, etc.
I createed most of my patterns in Adobe Illustrator, however now I’m explor ing Adobe Photohop to make textured pattern, and pattern from watercolor painting and hand drawn motifs. My process begin with sketching on paper or Ipad accroding to moodboard or theme for the pattern that I’m going to make. Then, I began create the motifs either by hand drawn/manual painting or digitaly draw on my Ipad. After that, I transfered my drawing into Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, and began creating repeat pattern also finishing up with recoloring my artwork until I.

Playground
Playground collection brings the spirit of 5 years old me, who never stop being cuo rious, playful, and always find a way to have fun. She is fierce and brave, a little naughty, but kind in heart. This collection is the very dear memory of my chilhood, spending time roam ing around in my grandma’s garden, climbing water guava’s tress and beeing chase down by my grand (lol), play market with friends, play jumping rope, hide and seek, the list goes on. Always playing outside in nature, breathe the fresh air and running around freely. This is the spirit I want to see more and more in world today.
