Dear IMPACT Faculty Fellows,
Please accept my invitation to showcase your course transformation during a poster session at "The Changing Classroom Symposium," hosted by the IMPACT team on March 26-27. The second annual symposium is part of a week-long March Celebration for Teaching and Learning on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus. Last year, dozens of IMPACT Faculty Fellows presented their course redesign work during the poster session. It is an excellent opportunity to share the innovative work happening at Purdue, and for Faculty Fellows from across cohorts to discuss their efforts. We hope to increase the number of posters this year and are offering lots of support (see below) to facilitate your participation. I encourage you to share your work during the conference -- whether you are implementing your redesign for the first time this semester, or have been teaching the redesigned course for several semesters. If you presented your redesign work during last year’s symposium, please consider revising your poster for display again this year. The posters will be on exhibit starting Wednesday afternoon through Thursday, and will be published on the IMPACT website following the symposium. Poster submissions are due by 5 p.m. March 10th, 2014. The Center for Instructional Excellence and the IMPACT support team are available to assist you in the preparation of your poster. See the poster template (attached) and the poster guidelines (below). Also, please save the date for our Keynote Speaker for the Changing Classroom Symposium: Dr. Edward Deci, who presents at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, in Fowler Hall. A “save the date” flyer is attached to this email. Please direct questions and inquiries to the Center for Instructional Excellence at cie@purdue.edu . I sincerely hope you will join us for the conference this year.
