EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE WELCOME CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS YEAR’S CIF SOUTHERN SECTION-FORD CHAMPIONSHIPS! CIF Southern Section Championship competition is back and we are so excited to bring it to you!!! It has been a long and difficult year for all of us, and especially for High School StudentAthletes. For many of you, your whole world revolved around the sport you played and when it was taken away, there was a tremendous sense of loss and anxiety. As the Covid-19 Pandemic has begun to subside, the CIF Southern Section has worked hard to get as many sports as possible back in action and with its return has come the energy, enthusiasm, and smiles that are naturally associated with education-based athletics. It has been wonderful to witness. Your participation in these championships is the result of your own hard work, dedication, and determination coupled with strong support from your families, your coaches and your schools. Enjoy the moment, play your hardest, and have no regrets. Recognize how fortunate you are to be playing right now and do your best to cherish the experience. Good luck to each and every one of you. Once again, congratulations to all student-athletes taking part in the CIF Southern Section FORD Championships.
Sincerely, Michael West, President of the CIF-SS Council Principal, Martin Luther King High School 2020-2021 CIF SOUTHERN SECTION EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

COMMISSIONER'S WELCOME
WELCOME TO THE CIF SOUTHERN SECTION-FORD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
I congratulate each and every one of our student-athletes, coaches, administrations, and communities for this outstanding achievement. I thank all of you for your dedication and commitment to representing excellence on the playing fields, along with exemplifying the highest ideals of sportsmanship and character among our 558 member high schools in the CIF Southern Section. The CIF Southern Section was founded in 1913. Since our inception, we have always been, first and foremost, an educational institution dedicated to teaching young people valuable lessons they can utilize to make them better students now and better people for the future. We believe that the high school student who participates in athletics at their school will learn so many important values that will translate into success later in life. The ideals of teamwork, discipline, responsibility, perseverance through adversity and goal setting are all examples of important concepts taught to our young people through the outstanding leadership provided by our principals, athletic directors, and teacher/coaches. I look forward to the outstanding competition that is to come and seeing our young people pursue and realize their dreams. Let us all pledge to continue to support and celebrate them today, tomorrow and always. All the best, Rob Wigod, Commissioner of Athletics
