I thank all of you for your dedication and commitment to representing excellence on the playing fields, along with exemplifying the highest ideals of sportsmanship and character among our 562 member high schools in the CIF Southern Section
The CIF Southern Section was founded in 1913 Since our inception, we have always been, first and foremost, an educational institution dedicated to teaching young people valuable lessons they can utilize to make them better students now and better people for the future We believe that the high school student who participates in athletics at their school will learn so many important values that will translate into success later in life. The ideals of teamwork, discipline, responsibility, perseverance through adversity and goal setting are all examples of important concepts taught to our young p leadership provided by our principals, athletic directors
I look forward to the outstanding competition that is seeing our young people pursue and realize their dream pledge to continue to support and celebrate them tod tomorrow and always

Congratulations to your teams, your schools and your communities for qualifying for the CIF Southern Section Championships. Participation in our Championship Playoffs is an extraordinary honor to be enjoyed and embraced. These playoffs are the payoff for all your hard work and dedication to the process that has resulted in your success as a team and as an individual. Your experiences will become lifelong memories for you and your family to cherish.
The CIF Southern Section is proud to host these Section wide playoffs based on the highest level of education based athletics. We hope that our events are met with respect, integrity and dignity for every student athlete, coach, fan base and especially our game officials. This will help produce the highest level of interscholastic athletic experience for all involved.
