Mensagem do Presidente da C.M.A. É com muito agrado que a Câmara Municipal de Alcobaça se associa à Academia de Música de Alcobaça na 2ª Edição do Concurso Internacional de Música de Câmara “Cidade de Alcobaça” (CIMCA). A Música é uma tradição muito forte no nosso concelho, com um elevado número de Associações ligadas a esta Arte e com um especial enfoque no ensino. A grande qualidade dos nossos músicos é reconhecida nos panoramas nacional e internacional e é também graças ao seu esforço e empenho que se consegue criar e manter um evento desta dimensão. Sendo Alcobaça uma “Terra de Paixão”, este concurso traduz também a paixão e dedicação à Música, enaltecendo o trabalho da Organização da 2ª Edição do CIMCA, bem como dos participantes que, de várias idades e representando várias nacionalidades se encontram na nossa cidade por amor à Música! Pela qualidade do Júri, a dimensão internacional, o reconhecimento e aposta do Ministério da Cultura através da Direcção-Geral das Artes, o prestígio da presença em eventos e salas com que os vencedores deste concurso serão premiados, para além do prémio monetário, este é um projecto definitivamente a consolidar e justificativo do apoio concedido por esta Câmara Municipal. Mayor’s message It is with great pleasure that the Municipality of Alcobaça is associated to the Alcobaça Music Academy in the 2nd edition of the International Chamber Music Competition “Cidade de Alcobaça” (CIMCA). Music is a very strong tradition in our county, with a large number of Associations linked to this Art and with a special focus on education. The high quality of our musicians is recognized nationally and internationally and it is also thanks to their efforts and commitment that is possible to create and maintain an event of this size. Being Alcobaça a “Land of Passion”, this competition also reflects the passion and dedication to Music, praising the work of the Organization of the 2nd edition of CIMCA, as well as the participants, whom of various ages and representing various nationalities, are in our city for love of Music! For the quality of the jury, the international dimension, the recognition and commitment of the Ministry of Culture through the General Directorate for the Arts, the prestige of performing in events and places that the winners of this competition will be awarded in addition to the prize money, this is a project definitely to consolidate and that justifies the support provided by the Municipality. Mensagem do Director O Concurso Internacional de Música de Câmara “Cidade de Alcobaça” (CIMCA), avança para a segunda edição, com objectivos e ambições reforçados, apresentando uma vez mais os argumentos que fazem do projeto, um marco importante na construção coletiva da música atualmente. Após o sucesso, confirmado por todos os intervenientes, da primeira edição, criamos expectativas legítimas para um novo desafio. Fizemos pequenas alterações, ténues, no sentido de permitir a consolidação por um lado, e por outro, o melhoramento de alguns pontos, que pensámos ser importantes, nomeadamente o tempo das provas e o âmbito instrumental. Continuamos o nosso caminho, apresentamos novamente um júri de inegável qualidade artística e pedagógica, porque só assim mantemos a excelência do concurso. Por um lado, músicos de grande craveira e experiência, por outro professores em escolas de referência internacional e com a disponibilidade dos mestres em conferir, com os grupos, a construção artística e educativa. Uma palavra especial ao Centro Cultural de Belém e ao Cistermúsica, por se manterem como parceiros desta iniciativa, assim como à Fundação Inatel e à Fundação Cidade de Guimarães 2012, por nos terem abraçado e privilegiarem com a vossa colaboração. Este é o tempo das parcerias, as sinergias que fortalecem as organizações e instituições, somos parte integrante desse pensamento num mundo cada vez mais rápido, exigente e competitivo. Assim como a Música de Câmara, o trabalho de equipa engloba por vezes situações e dicotomias como gosto/disciplina, espírito colectivo/sacrifícios, empenho/necessidades, quero agradecer de forma inequívoca o apoio sempre presente das Instituições Academia de Música de Alcobaça e a Câmara Municipal de Alcobaça, sem os quais este ambicioso projeto não seria possível. Message from the Director The International Chamber Music Competition “Cidade de Alcobaça” (CIMCA), goes to the second edition, with goals and ambitions increased, showing once again the arguments that makes this project an important milestone in the collective creation of music today. After the success, confirmed by all the intervenients, of the first edition, we have created legitimate expectations for a new challenge. We made small changes, fine, in order to allow, in one hand, its consolidation, and secondly, the improvement of some points, that we think are important, including the time of the rounds and the instrumental ambit. We continue our journey, presenting once again a jury of undeniable artistic and pedagogical quality, because only in this way we can maintain the excellence of the competition. On the one hand, players of great caliber and experience, and in the other, teachers from schools of international reference, with the availability of teachers to confer, along the groups, the educational and artistic construction. A special word to the Belém Cultural Centre and Cistermúsica, for staying as partners in this initiative as well as the Inatel Foundation and the Foundation Cidade de Guimarães 2012, for embracing us and giving priority in our cooperation. This is the time of the partnerships, synergies that strengthen organizations and institutions, we are an integral part of this thought in a world increasingly fast, demanding and competitive. As in Chamber Music, teamwork often involves situations and dichotomies as taste/discipline, collective spirit/sacrifices, commitment/requirements, I want to thank unequivocally the ever-present support of Academy of Music and Municipality of Alcobaça Institutions, without which this ambitious project would not be possible. We hope this edition will run by the best, we have a wonderful and enthusiastic team committed to making this event a prestigious brand in the international sphere, so for now I leave a challenge to all for the third edition; international partnerships. Nasceu em Coimbra em 1977. Natural de Vestiaria (Alcobaça), estudou no Conservatório Nacional de Música de Lisboa, Escola Profissional de Música de Almada e é licenciado pela ESMAE, na classe do Professor António Saiote, onde lhe foi atribuído o Prémio Fundação Engenheiro António de Almeida (melhor aluno de cada instrumento em cada ano). Vencedor dos concursos Jovens Clarinetistas, Porto 2000, Marcos Romão dos Reis, Loures 2001, I.C.A., Estocolmo (Suécia) 2002 e Concurso Internacional de Clarinetes de Montroy, Valência (Espanha) 2003.

António Rosa was born in Coimbra in 1977. Native of Vestiaria (Alcobaça), he studied at the Conservatório Nacional de Música de Lisboa, Escola Profissional de Música de Almada and he is a gradute of ESMAE under the guidance of professor António Saiote. He was awarded the Prémio Fundação Engenheiro António de Almeida (best clarinet student of the year). António Rosa is a prize winner of Young Clarinetists Competition, Porto 2000, Marcos Romão dos Reis, Loures 2001, I.C.A., Stockholm (Sweden) 2002 and International Clarinet Competition of Montrov, Valencia (Spain) 2003.

Membro fundador do Quarteto de Clarinetes do Porto, Horizontes Trio, Marchen Trio, é Solista da Orquestra Nacional do Porto desde Janeiro de 2002 e Professor de Clarinete na Escola de Artes da Universidade Católica do Porto. Lançou em Janeiro de 2007 o seu primeiro trabalho discográfico Projecto XXI, assente em obras de compositores Portugueses contemporâneos para Clarinete e Piano, com o pianista António Oliveira. Em Outubro de 2007 obtiveram o prémio para o melhor grupo de Música de Câmara do Festival Internacional de Lleida, Espanha.

Founder of the Porto Clarinet Quartet, Horizontes Trio, Marchen Trio, he is soloist with the Orquestra Nacional do Porto since 2002. Mr. Rosa is clarinet teacher at the Escola das Artes of the Universidade Católica do Porto. In January 2007 he released is first CD Projecto XXI, with music by Contemporary Portuguese Composers for Clarinet and Piano, along with the pianist António Oliveira. In October 2007 they were awarded the Best Chamber Music Group prize at the International Music Festival of Lleida, Spain.

É frequentemente convidado a participar com o Projecto XXI em vários espectáculos em Portugal e Espanha e também no Congresso Internacional de Clarinetes como em Vancouver 2007, Canadá, e Kansas City 2008, EUA. Criou o projecto “Tempos de Vanguarda”, um conjunto de actividades culturais ligadas à música e às artes em geral, dando especial ênfase à performance ao vivo com artistas de grande qualidade, aos projectos educativos e a criação regular de novas obras e desafios a vários autores da actualidade. Director Artístico do Concurso Internacional de Música de Câmara, Cidade de Alcobaça.

António Rosa is repeatedly invited to perform with the Projecto XXI in Portugal and Spain as well as in the ClarinetFests Vancouver 2007, Canada, and Kansas City 2008, USA. António Rosa created the project “Tempos de Vanguarda”, a set of cultural events directed to music and arts in general, emphasizing live performances by high quality artists, educational projects and commission of new works to many living artists. Hugo Assunção


Nasceu em Vestiaria (Alcobaça) em 1969. Em 1983 ingressa no Conservatório Nacional de Música na Classe do Professor Emídio Coutinho. Colaborou com a Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil; Orquestra da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian; Orquestra Régie Sinfonia; Orquestra Clássica do Porto; Orquestra do Teatro Nacional de São Carlos; Orquestra Clássica da Madeira; Orquestra Sinfonietta de Lisboa; Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa; Orquestra dos Sonhos, Orquestra Sinfonia Varsóvia, Orquestra de Jazz de Matosinhos e Orquestra de Jazz do Hot Clube de Portugal.

Born in Vestiaria (Alcobaça) in 1969. In 1983 he joined the class of Professor Emídio Coutinho at Conservatório Nacional de Música. Collaborated with the Youth Symphony Orchestra, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra; Régie Symphony Orchestra; Classical Orchestra of Oporto, Orchestra of Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Classical Orchestra of Madeira, Lisbon Sinfonietta Orchestra, Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, Orchestra of Dreams, Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, Matosinhos Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Orchestra of Hot Clube de Portugal.

Em 1988 ganhou o lugar de Primeiro Trombone na Orquestra do Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, lugar que ocupou até à extinção desta orquestra em 1992. Foi membro fundador e principal impulsionador do Quinteto de metais Hot Brass de Portugal, do Decateto de Metais de Lisboa, do Ensemble Português de Trombones, do Quinteto Português de Metais e do Quinteto de Metais da Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa. Leccionou na Universidade de Aveiro, na Escola Superior de Música do Porto, na Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho e na Escola Profissional Gualdim Pais em Tomar. Foi Professor de Trombone e Música de Câmara nos Cursos de Música de Pousos (Leiria), Loures e Caldas da Rainha. Tem sido convidado a leccionar masterclasses, um pouco por todo o país.

In 1988 he became the First Trombone in the Orchestra of Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, a post he held until the expiry of this orchestra in 1992. Founding member and prime mover of Hot Metal Brass Quintet from Portugal, Lisbon Decatet Metals, Trombone Ensemble Portuguese, Portuguese Brass Quintet and Brass Quintet of the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra. He taught at the University of Aveiro, School of Music of Oporto, Professional School Music of Espinho and Gualdim Pais Professional School of Tomar. Professor of Trombone and Chamber Music in Music Courses of Pousos (Leiria), Loures and Caldas da Rainha. Has been invited to teach master classes all over the country.

Promoveu acções de formação com os trombonistas norte-americanos Conrad Herwig, Ed Neumeister e com o Primeiro Trombone da Orquestra Filarmónica de Nova Iorque – Joseph Alessi. Em 1997 criou o Jornal do Núcleo de Trombonistas da APPIS, que foi distribuído para mais de 300 trombonistas por todo o país. Em 2006 gravou dois CDs para a editora Afinaudio, um projecto a solo – Vox Gabrieli, e um outro como líder do Ensemble Português de Trombones – A Different Era. Actualmente lecciona na Universidade de Évora e na Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. É membro da Orchestrutópica e Primeiro Trombone/Coordenador de Naipe da Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa.

Organized music training with the American trombonists Conrad Herwig, Ed Neumeister and Joseph Alessi – First Trombone of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1997, he founded the APPIS Trombonists Center Journal, which was distributed to more than 300 trombonists throughout the country. In 2006 he released two records for the Afinaudio label, a solo project – Vox Gabrieli, and another one as a leader of the Portuguese Trombone Ensemble – A Different Era. Currently teaches at the University of Évora and at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. Pedro Burmester


Pedro Burmester estudou dez anos com Helena Costa, terminando o Curso Superior de Piano do Conservatório do Porto com 20 valores em 1981. Trabalhou entre 1983 e 1987, nos EUA, com Sequeira Costa, Leon Fleicher e Dmitri Paperno. Frequentou masterclasses com pianistas como Karl Engel, Vladimir Ashkenasy, T. Nocolaiewa e E. Leonskaya. Foi premiado em diversos concursos, destacandose o prémio Moreira de Sá, o 2º prémio Vianna da Motta e o prémio especial do júri no Concurso Van Cliburn nos Estados Unidos. Iniciou a sua actividade de concertista aos 10 anos e, desde então, realizou mais de 1000 concertos a solo, com orquestra e em diversas formações de música de câmara, em Portugal e no estrangeiro. Participou em todos os festivais de música portugueses. No estrangeiro são de realçar apresentações no Festival de Flanders, na Frick Collection e 92nd Y em Nova Iorque, na Filarmonia de Colónia, na casa Beethoven em Bona e no Concertgebouw em Amesterdam, entre outros. São de destacar colaborações com os maestros Manuel Ivo Cruz, Miguel Graça Moura, Omri Hadari, Muhai Tang, Lothar Zagrosek, Michael Zilm, Frans Bruggen e Georg Solti. Mantém há alguns anos um duo com o pianista Mário Laginha e actuou com os violinistas Gerardo Ribeiro e Thomas Zehetmair, com os violoncelistas Anner Bylsma e Paulo Gaio Lima e com o clarinetista António Saiote. Gravou uma dezena de CDs que incluem três CDs a solo com obras de Bach, Schumann e Schubert, um em duo com Mário Laginha e três gravações com a Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa. Em 1998 editou um CD a solo com obras de Chopin. Em 1999 gravou as dez sonatas para violino e piano de Beethoven com o violinista Gerardo Ribeiro. Em 2007, com Bernardo Sassetti e Mário Laginha, editou o CD e DVD “3 Pianos”, gravado ao vivo no CCB. Foi Director Artístico e de Educação na Casa da Música, projecto que ajudou a criar e a implementar. Actualmente, para além da sua actividade artística, é professor na Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo (ESMAE) no Porto, na Academia de Música de Espinho e nas Universidades de Aveiro e Évora.

Pedro Burmester, studied for 10 years with Helena Costa, and finished in 1981 his piano studies at Conservatório do Porto with maximum classification. Later, he moved to the USA, having worked there, between 1983 and 1987, with Sequeira Costa, Leon Fleisher and Dmitry Paperno. In addition, he attended the master-classes of Karl Engel, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Tatiana Nikolayeva and Elisabeth Leonskaja. He has won several prizes: 2nd prize of the International Piano Competition “Vianna da Mota” in Lisbon, Jury Discretionary Award of the 1989 Van Cliburn Competition (U.S.) and Prix de Sá Moreira. Pedro Burmester started his concert activity at 10 years old and since then has held over 1000 concerts, as soloist, with orchestra and in co-operation with various chamber music ensembles in Portugal and abroad. Besides being invited to perform in all Portuguese festivals, he has played in France’s main Festivals (such as Le Roque d’Anthéron), in Festivals in Italy, at the Belfast Festival, the Klavierfestival Ruhr, the Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker, both the Flanders Festival and the Wallonie Festival in Belgium. Pedro Burmester has collaborated with renowned conductors, as Manuel Ivo Cruz, Miguel Graça Moura, Omri Hadar, Muhai Tang, Lothar Zagrosek, Michael Zilm, Frans Brüggen and Georg Solti. For several years he maintains a duo with pianist Mário Laginha. Among his partners we find the violinists Gerardo Ribeiro and Thomas Zehetmair, the cellists Anner Bylsma and Paulo Gaio Lima, the clarinetist António Saiote. His discography includes also CD’s with the works of J. Bach, Schumann, Schubert and Chopin, a duo disc with Mário Laginha and recordings with the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa (Metropolitan Orchestra of Lisbon). In 1998 he recorded a solo CD with Chopin works. In 1999 he recorded ten sonatas for violin and piano by Beethoven with violinist Gerardo Ribeiro. In 2007, in collaboration with Bernardo Sassetti and Mario Laginha, edited the CD and DVD “3 Pianos”, recorded live at the CCB. He was Artistic and Education Director at Casa da Música, a project which he helped to create and implement. Currently, in addition to his artistic activity, he’s a professor at the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo (ESMAE) in Oporto, at the Music Academy of Espinho and at the University of Aveiro and Evora. Alexandre Delgado


Alexandre Delgado, compositor e violetista, nasceu em Lisboa em 1965. Estudou na Fundação Musical dos Amigos das Crianças e foi aluno em composição de Joly Braga Santos e de Jacques Charpentier, diplomando-se com o 1.º prémio do Conservatório de Nice em 1990. Entre a sua produção sobressai a música de câmara (Quarteto de Cordas, Burlesca, Langará, The Panic Flirt), a música concertante (Concerto para Flauta e Orquestra, Concerto para Violeta e Orquestra) e a música vocal (Turbilhão, Poema de Deus e do Diabo). A sua ópera de câmara O Doido e a Morte (1993) foi estreada no Teatro de São Carlos e no Theater Am Halleschen Ufer em Berlim, sob sua direcção.

Alexandre Delgado, composer and violist, was born in Lisbon on the 8th June 1965. He began his musical studies at the Foundation “Amigos das Crianças”. He studied composition with Joly Braga Santos and with Jacques Charpentier, graduating with distinction at the Nice Conservatory in 1990. His output includes chamber music (Quarteto de Cordas, Burlesca, Langará, The Panic Flirt), concertos (for flute and orchestra, for viola and orchestra) and vocal music (Turbilhão, Poem of God and the Devil). His chamber opera Death and the Madman (1993) was premiered at the São Carlos National Theater and at the Theater Am Halleschen Ufer in Berlin, under his direction.

Vencedor do Prémio Jovens Músicos em 1987, estreou como solista o seu Concerto para Violeta em Portugal, Espanha e Holanda. Membro do Quarteto com Piano de Moscovo, é director artístico do Festival de Música de Alcobaça desde 2002 e assina o programa A Propósito da Música na Antena 2 desde 1996. É autor dos livros A Sinfonia em Portugal e A Culpa é do Maestro – crítica musical 1990/2000 e coordenador e co-autor do livro Luís de Freitas Branco (Editorial Caminho), primeira obra de fundo dedicada ao compositor. Director Artístico do Festival de Música de Alcobaça desde 2001, é membro do Quarteto com Piano de Moscovo desde 2005 e freelancer como instrumentista, conferencista e comentador de concertos.

As a violist, he won the Portuguese Young Musicians Award in 1987 and premiered his Viola Concerto in Portugal, Spain and Holland. Member of the Moscow Piano Quartet, he is the artistic director of the Alcobaça Music Festival since 2002 and his program A Propósito da Música is broadcasted weekly on the national radio Antena 2 since 1996. He is the author of the books The Symphony in Portugal and A Culpa é do maestro (musical reviews 1990-2000) as well as editor and co-author of Luís de Freitas Branco, the first full study of this portuguese modernist composer. Artistic Director of the Cistermúsica – Alcobaça’s Music Festival since 2001, is a member of the Piano Quartet in Moscow since 2005 and as a freelance musician, lecturer and commentator on concerts. ................ 19

António Oliveira nasceu no Porto e iniciou os seus estudos musicais na Academia de Música de Vilar do Paraíso. Obteve o bacharelato na classe da Professora Sofia Lourenço, na Escola Superior de Música e das Artes do Espectáculo do Porto. Ao abrigo do programa Sócrates/Erasmus, estudou na Hochschule der Kunst de Berlim na classe do Professor Lazslo Simon. Prosseguiu a sua formação na The Hartt School, University of Hartford, Connecticut, EUA, onde obteve o diploma “Master of Music” na classe do Prof. Luiz de Moura Castro. Complementou os seus estudos com Helena Sá e Costa, Pedro Burmester, Mikail Pethukov, Carla Giudici e Emanuel Ax.

Antonio Oliveira was born in Oporto and began his musical studies at the Music Academy of Vilar do Paraíso. Bachelor in the class of teacher Sofia Lourenço, at the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo (ESMAE) in Oporto. Through the Socrates / Erasmus program, studied at the Hochschule der Kunst in Berlin in the class of Professor Laszlo Simon. He continued his education at The Hartt School, University of Hartford, Connecticut, U.S., where he obtained the diploma “Master of Music” with Prof. Luiz de Moura Castro. He complemented his studies with Helena Sá e Costa, Pedro Burmester, Mikail Pethukov, Carla Giudici and Emanuel Ax.

Recebeu uma Menção Honrosa no Concurso Maria Campina e foi finalista do Concurso “Emerson String Quartet Competition” tendo tocado o Quinteto para Piano e Quarteto de Cordas com este ensemble. Regressado a Portugal, ingressou no Conservatório de Música do Porto onde é Professor de Piano. Foi também pianista do Estúdio de Ópera da Casa da Música do Porto. Tem realizado recitais a solo e de música de câmara em algumas das salas mais importantes do país e no estrangeiro. Tocou no Festival de Música do Estoril, Festival da Foz do Cávado, Festivais de Outono em Aveiro, Festival Raízes Ibéricas, Festival Cistermúsica em Alcobaça, Festival de Música de Coimbra, Festival de Música do Palácio da Bolsa, ClarinetFest2007 em Vancouver, Canadá, Musiquem Lleida 2007 em Espanha, ClarinetFest2008 em Kansas City, Estados Unidos da América.

He received an Honorable Mention in the Maria Campina Contest and was a finalist in the contest “Emerson String Quartet Competition” having played the Quintet for Piano and String Quartet with this ensemble. Back to Portugal, he joined the Music Conservatory of Oporto as a Piano Professor. He was also pianist for the Opera Studio of Casa da Música in Oporto. He has performed solo recitals and chamber music in some of the most important places in the country and abroad. He played in the Estoril Music Festival, Foz do Cávado Festival, Fall Festivals in Aveiro, Raízes Ibéricas Festival, Festival Cistermúsica in Alcobaça, Coimbra Music Festival, Palácio da Bolsa Music Festival, ClarinetFest2007 in Vancouver, Canadá, Musiquem Lleida 2007 in Spain, ClarinetFest2008 in Kansas City, U.S.

Gravou para a RTP e RDP Antena2. António Oliveira tocou com artistas de renome internacional como o oboísta Kevin Vigneau e o clarinetista Darko Brlek. Mantém uma estreita colaboração com o clarinetista António Rosa, com quem gravou um CD de Música Portuguesa do Séc. XXI. Recentemente receberam o prémio para melhor grupo de música de Câmara do Festival Musiquem Lleida 2007. Este duo, Projecto XXI, realizou encomendas aos compositores Telmo Marques, Carlos Azevedo, Jean-François Lézé e António Victorino de Almeida. Juntamente com a soprano Ana Barros, estreou e gravou a obra “Cicuta” do compositor António Chagas Rosa. Fez a estreia mundial do 1.º Concerto para Piano e Orquestra do compositor Telmo Marques. Recorded for RTP and RDP Antena2. António Oliveira has played with renowned artists such as clarinetist and oboist Kevin Vigneau Brlek Darko. He has a close collaboration with the clarinetist António Rosa, with whom he recorded a CD of XX century Portuguese music. Recently he received the award for best music group Chamber at Lleida Musique Festival 2007. Nascido em Madrid em 1977. A sua carreira levou-o aos palcos de toda a Europa, Ásia e EUA. Quer em recitais, grupos de câmara ou orquestras, as suas actuações normalmente reúnem o aplauso caloroso do público e de críticos. Tem sido convidado para festivais de prestígio, tais como o Schleswig-Holstein, o La Roque d’Anthéron, o Richter Festival de La Grange de Meslay, o Jacobins de Toulouse, o Santander, o Quincena Musical em San Sebastián, Granada, etc. Tem colaborado com orquestras como a Orquestra Sinfónica de Barcelona e a Orquestra Nacional da Catalunha, a Real Filarmónica da Galiza, a Sinfónica de Bilbao, a Orquestra Ensemble de Paris, a Orquestra Ensemble de Kanazawa, a Orquestra de Câmara Franz Liszt de Budapeste, estando previsto actuar com a Orquestra Sinfónica do Principado das Astúrias, e na época de 2011/2012, com a Orquestra Sinfónica de Euskadi, assim como com os maestros José Ramón Encinar, Günther Neuhold, Wilson Hernanto, Kazuki Yamada, etc. Além disso, tem colaborado como músico de câmara com o violoncelista Adolfo Gutiérrez, o Quarteto Arriaga, o Quarteto Enesco de Paris, o Quarteto B. Nasceu em 1947 em Kirchheim/Teck, Alemanha. Estudou com Hermann Herder em Estugarda. Foi premiado com o “Jugend musiziert”da República Federal Alemã e bolseiro do “Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben”. Fagote-solista na Orquestra Filarmónica de Estugarda, na Sinfónica de Bamberg e na Rádio Sinfónica de Colónia. Teve colaboração intensiva no universo da música de câmara com o Colónia Trio d’Anches (HJ Schellenberger, HD Klaus). Fez várias gravações e deu inúmeros concertos através da Europa, EUA, América do Sul, África. Fagote-solista no Bach Collegium Stuttgart, tendo colaborado frequentemente com Helmuth Rilling em inúmeras tournées, rádio, televisão e gravações de CD. Professor na Universidade de Música de Karlsruhe desde 1986. Dá aulas de fagote na ”Bachakademie Internationale Stuttgart”, em Tóquio, Moscovo, Cracóvia, Caracas, Santiago de Campostela, assim como muitas Masterclasses a nível internacional.
