Mastergroom 2023

Colin Taylor provides us with some info on the upcoming Mastergroom 2023, taking place on the 2nd of July, at The Kennel Club Building, Coventry, CV82LZ.

We are pleased to bring to you Mastergroom this year, a grooming event known for its atmosphere and the choice of seasoned experienced judges. With categories split into intermediate/ open and champion levels, there is sure to be something for everyone. Doors open to the public at 9am and the show closes at 5pm.

Mastergroom also has FREE entry to spectators who just want to come and watch and shop. There is also a full-day seminar ticket at only £25 which includes some of the best speakers, including a very special one from the USA.

Golden Scissor Award

The golden scissor awards these have been designed to promote and support the continued development of competitive groomers and challenge them to reach the pinnacles of the industry gaining extra awards along with individual shows prizes.

All shows may hold the golden scissor awards if following the simple rules of three wins before having to move to the champion division.

Open division

Winning three golden scissor awards to gain the title of champion you may do this in each individual qualifying classes but as you gain the title you must move to champion division. Best in show is an additional golden scissor award.

Champion division

Winning three golden scissor awards to gain the title of Supreme champion you may do this in each qualifying classes

Best in show is an additional golden scissor award.

Grand champion

To gain this title you must gain your three golden scissor awards in each of the four core classes in the open division.

Grand Supreme champion

To gain this title you must gain your three golden scissor awards in each of the four core classes in the champion division.

Core classes

Poodle, Hand strip, Gundog, Pure breed scissor.

We hope that you go on to gain your three awards in your division and the award of champion, supreme champion or even grand champion.
